I canít believe this happened in Chicago, a city with stringent gun laws. He should get with Tank Johnson the former Bear player, he probably has some extra weapons he can loan out.

No one deserves to be robbed whether they are living on the street or if they have a million dollar mansion. I work hard for every penny I make but have been unfortunate enough to have had items stolen out of my yard. It ticks me off everyday to know that I got those things the honest way and yet someone just feels the need to take what I worked for. There are enough sorry tails taking my money b/c they decide not to work except to have 5 kids they can not afford.

YO, quit flashing the cash and blinging. honestly, some of the robbery and homicides could be prevented by the victim change in life style. NOT BLAMING THE VICTIMS! an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure any day.

So he was robbed when they took the watch and robbed when he bought it. At least the first time it was consentual.

No, I am not some "poor azz person". I am college educated and have a great job. I just think that it is completely irresponsible to pay 55K for a watch when so much good could be done with that money. So what if he's "got game"? I'm sure that he could have given something back to his community instead of being so interested in buying ostentatious items of little use. I've found that my $20 Timex tells time quite well.

THANK YOU! I worked with a physician whose fiance' gave her a 3 carat diamond for her engagement ring. She finally told him she wasn't comfortable wearing something like that in public because she feared being robbed. She also said that she grew up poor and felt a little guilty about having that much money spent on jewelry.

So does the same applies when a woman wants to "simply" look good and wear nice sexy clothes out to a club etc... only to get raped, or called a tramp?

If you got it wear it/flaunt it... you worked hard for it... all for what... sit in a closet and collect dust?... you sure can't take it to your grave... well you can.

But, who's going to be honest enought to put your valuables in a casket with you when you're gone.
