On opening night it was written....too old....too fat... and way to full of themselves. They tried to sell last year to a starving constituency, lending credence to "there's a sucker born every minute." The sun has set on their self adoration. Lazy is as lazy does. Riley got it right with his "no camping at the summit" philosophy. Time to clean house [please include those hokey white shirts and that incredibly obnoxious PA jagoff. Bye bye Heeeeaaaat.

THIS JUST IN:

Rick Barry was arrested by Miami undercover policeman trainee Shaquille O'Neal for carrying a hand made sign in South Beach that read:

"Will teach free throws for a part in the next Shaquille movie called:'Huge Black Guys Who are Often Overweight and Injured and Waste Time Trying to Be Undercover Policemen -- Instead of Learning How To Shoot Free Throws -- Can't Jump At All Anymore or Make Essential Free Throws."

It was reported that O'Neal handcuffed Barry and attempted to slide Barry in the back seat of the patrol car but missed badly and instead bounced Barry off the roof of the car. Eyewitnesses to the incident said that the handcuffed Barry remarked: "there you go, nice try, you are in typical playoff form."

Barry, who has been lobbying for years to teach O'Neal how to shoot free throws said of his arrest and impending trial for vagrancy: "if the free throws are bricks, you must acquit."

UNEMPLOYED VAN GUNDY (if he learned how to shoot free throws I would still be coaching)

Let's face it this was one of the worse title defenses ever! Today's teams don't want to be great, they just want to win every now and then. Now we are stuck with an old team and we couldn't give away any of these players except for Wade. Shaq talks a good game, but for what we are getting from him he should restructure his contract. We know he won't which will further keep this team in a whole for the next three years. Riley's mistake of signing Walker to a six year contract will also haunt this team. We know no one want's him. The Heat's first move must be to obtain a point guard. PERIOD! Jason Williams has not shown enough to say that he needs to be here. He stays hurt far to often. And now that we look back many of us questioned not taking Nelson when the Heat took Wright. If Wright still is not ready to play a very large role next year then his selection was a mistake. And can we now disspell this notion put forth by Shaq that you can just coast through the regular season. This series may have been a little different if Wade were totally healthy, but let's face it took a major effort from him last year and at some point you have to get the guy some real help!

Shaq was a great basketball player...WAS.

Suspend their access to their bank accounts and watch how fast they start playing good again.
To much pride, money, arrogance.
Humble yourselves, play ball.

Why was Wade dancing in the fourth game of a sweep (at the end of the first half)? Not only a dance, but rolling his "injured" shoulder back and forth in glee, with his team down 3-0 in the series, facing elimination.

That sums up the HEART of D. Wade. You don't DANCE with your team being humiliated in 4 straight games. And if the shoulder hurts so much, why are you shaking it back and forth in glee over a meaningless 3-point play? PATHETIC!

Miami must trade some players, for next year, they have to build a team around Wade,Haslem, Kapono and maybe dorell! Zo, Walker, Payton and Shaq are very good players, but if the Heat want to win a title in the next few years they must trade them. Trade against younger players like Gerald Wallace from the Bobcats. If they don`t do/can that, I think they won`t be able to win a title in the next 3 years.
Miami Heat forever!!!

IT WAS NO CONTEST!!! The Heat should be ashamed! Why? because they WERE shamed!!! The only thing you fans can hope for is that Chicago beats Detroit. Then you could say you got beat by a good team... O-U-T-C-O-A-C-H-E-D!!!

SERIOUSLY SPORTS FANS: IS ANYONE REALLY UPSET OR SURPRISED BY THIS ?????? THE HEAT HAS NOT PLAYED GOOD, CONSISTENT ALL YEAR: SOMEONE WAS ALWAYS HURT, "OUT OF SHAPE" WHATEVER. ANYONE WHO THOUGHT THEY COULD "PULL IT OUT" AND START PLAYING SOME SERIOUS BALL IN THE PLAYOFFS IS AN IDIOT. THE DAYS OF 2 GUYS CARRYING A TEAM ARE WAY OVER!!! GET SOME GOOD PLAYERS TO PLAY THIS GAME !!!!! CLEAN HOUSE NOW..........

FLUKESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA

Dont use the injury excuse, all teams have injuries, just like Rasheed Wallace, last year of the ECF, his ankle. Wade should have kept his turnover proned azz at home. They would have been better running the offense through Shaq, where he draws double teams and the team can move the ball.
Not Wade going one on one or one of 5, like he tried this entire series.

Flukes!

WORST DEFENDING CHAMPS OF ALL-TIME!!!! Milli Valli called and they want their one-hit wonder/fraud label.... Riles vastly over estimated his roster when he decided to bring back 'Toine (even more lazy after getting a ring), GP (older and slower and injured), J Will (broken most of the year, just like the last few years).

Well at least Diva Wade has time to heal.

Wade is an excellent player. There is no reason to give him a hard time. He was humble in his comments both this year and last. Shaq is ridiculous. Although people love how he plays, even in last year's win, it was Zo who was on the floor at the end; not Shaq. Ben Wallace man-handled him--and always has.

THE HEAT ARE JUST A BUNCH OF OLD PLAYERS.

I LIKE TO SUGGEST THAT THE HEAT CHEERLEADERS WEAR LESS CLOTHES NEXT SEASON.

IT WILL KEEP US TO LOOK AT THE GIRLS FOR THE GAMES THAT SUCKS.

There's a saying in boxing that sometimes, you can see a fighter get old, right before your eyes. Legs lose their spring, punches and parries are a click slower, enough to allow what should be a lesser opponent, land at will, while avoiding punches that would have taken him out a few short years earlier.

It appears that is what we saw over the past four games.

How far the Heat have slid became all too apparent as willing hearts could not force aging legs to keep up with a younger, agressive challenger.

The worst point about this situation is that you cannot trade up to a better lineup, because too many of your current roster have aged beyond having any value in the marketplace.

Sorry, Heat fans, but this is going to take a few years, this time.

Let's not forget that this team won a championship last season. Something the Dolphins have not been able to do in over 30 years. Sometimes you have to mortgage the future to win in the present, which is exactly what the Heat did when they brought in Shaq and the rest of the aging cast. I wouldn't trade last year for anything, even if it means a few more years of early playoff exits.

Yeah I guess Kobe is due his apologies and now D. Wade is faced with the realities of the "Big Whatever". I hope he (Shaq) can do what his ego would not let him do in LA and give way to D. Wade. It's not your team "Big Aristotle" now. Kobe and D. Wade are two hardworking athletes who do the work in the off season to do what is necessary during the season. You don't put off surgery until the season starts so you can sit on your but until February and expect a good outcome. Get off your but Shaq and earn some of that $20M per year starting today and maybe the Heat can make one more legimate run at a championship while they are "stuck" with you.
