Deepest Laker team since 99-2000 no doubt. A healthy Bynum makes them the favorite, but this squad is very, very good right now too.

My favorite part of this article:

"Odom didn't mention Farmar by name, but the UCLA guard wasn't content winning two rings while backing up Fisher. Proclaiming he deserved to be a starter, he left the Lakers for New Jersey where he's a backup again, but for a much worse team."

That's just sad.

I liked Farmar but he never played up to his potential, Shannon Brown was obviously the better player by the middle of last year not to mention more energy off the bench. In my opinion Blake, Brown and Odom could start for 85% on the teams and Ratliff and Barnes have started in the past for lesser teams....over 60-62 wins in a tough Western conference is absolutely attainable barring injury....Wld love to beat on Miami in the finals...If they make it of course.

Why is Andrew Bynum afraid of Ronny Turiaf's shadow?

After 3 games, The season is early. i would not be getting to excited so early in the season. This year the Pacific division is very weak. the Lakers should take it with ease.

As to Farmer he did a good job as a Laker he helped the Lakers win several games and playoff games with defense, offense and with limited playing time.

The "Pacific Division" is again the worst division in Basketball. Other then the Lakers, the West again sucks.Put the Lakers in the East and make them play a whole season against good teams. Not sub 500 teams that the west is full of.

Bring on everyone in the east, the only one to give the lakers a series will be boston with their big men and experience.Lakers bigger than miami and deeper. If phil gives his two draft picks more playing time they will make lakers even stronger.

Was he a poor man in LA?

He could have been rich while collecting hardware right?

Instead, he wanted to start, not warm the seat...

Does he stand a chance to win a championship now? NO

Is he starting? NO

What is he doing?

So again, I say: Its SAD.

The athletism and agility of this team is the best I've seen for a Laker team because now there is no real drop-off on defence wiih our second unit that is only going to get better. Just think the league will have to readjust the way they play us around the end of November when Bynum returns. What a wonderful time to be a Lakers Fan! Bring it on!!!
