My best wishes to the Matadors. The Amerian Obsession is outward appearance. These guys are doing what they want to do, having fun, traveling and getting paid.
For any adult to engage in name calling is so immature. Maybe the negative writers are not obese, but they are pure ugly on the inside.(probably out too).

Congrats, you made the front page of yesterday. Okay, it's not a Pulitzer, but it's close, sort of.

if you're going to quote a chicago writer, please get it right, chicago tribune.

"HOG Butcher for the World,
Tool Maker, Stacker of Wheat,
Player with Railroads and the Nation's Freight Handler;
Stormy, husky, brawling,
City of the Big Shoulders."

These guys are HAWT. Some of us like guys (or girls) with some meat on their bones.

Don't knock it till you try it.

I stumbled across the link for this article while reading another article here. I have to say these guys are hugely brave to be out there in front of thousands and embracing themselves and their weight.

In a time where being overweight is the big bad, we need more role models to say "it's ok to be yourself".

Someone in an earlier comment mentioned obese kids, I think these guys will help. A large factor in obesity that no one seems to want to acknowledge is self-esteem. When your self-esteem blows, and you're worried/scared of what everyone thinks of you it's hard to get out there and exercise. It's a catch 22, you don't want to go out and jiggle and shake and gross everyone out, so you stay home and get fatter. Add in the fact that a lot of people eat for comfort and you're screwed.

A little more compassion and understanding all around could do wonders for our obesity "epidemic"
