Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd finish off Chicago Bulls

With a victory in Dallas on Saturday night, the Bulls would have won five games on a road trip for the first time in 12 years. Full Story

About the refs, fans of the losers always complain, fans of the winners are silent. If Dallas had lost their fans would be upset about the calls against Josh Howard that left him on the bench more than he usually is, and Dallas won desspite losing a potential All-Star/6th man of the year in Jason Terry at the half. I put it on Del Negro more than on the refs, plus Dallas isn't great but they're pretty darn good this year after their slow start.

This is the best complete game I have seen from Tyrus. If he can play like this with some consistency there is no way they should trade him. At least give Del Negro some credit for Thomas getting more playing time. He may not have had a choice because of injuries but I think it is quite clear that Gooden should be no more than a reserve until they can unload him. I have no complaints with Rose's last shot; he had a decent chance of making it; you seldom are going to get a call against a future Hall of Famer like Kidd on the road.
You gave the reason I can't give Vinny any credit for increasing TT's playing time. It was an injury related decision, not coaching smarts.

That or Paxson telling him he needed to. Vinny has shown he only makes lineups and substitions based on a player's reputation.

At his young age rose is not a closer. Several times at the the end of the fourth,as well as overtime he forced shots and wasn't aware of open team mates, Deng,Thomas.
Kirk still is killing the clock with his over dribbling....
I've also noticed this. Rose is acrobatic and a good finisher for sure, but does not always make the easy pass to an open teammate.

As Vinny said, you can't allow Kidd's 3 pointer. I don;t want to hear rookie mistake. Rose should have stuch with him. He's played too many games in his life to blow that play. But I'm sure he won't make that mistake again. Rose wasn't alone. What's everyone doing collapsing on the driver when a lay-up will not tie the game. As well as they played, the Bulls HAVE to stop making these idiotic mistakes.

Nevertheless, you have to be encouraged by the road trip. I hope that doesn't sound schizoid. Thomas is beginning to look like he might be a monster. I said might. I hope he doesn't go in a Stoudamire trade. I'm not a big fan of that, given Amari's attitude and the knee injury.

Once Rose makes up his mind to go to the basket, he always takes the shot, opposed to creating something after the defense is drawn to him. I was at the game and the Dallas fans were thrilled to see Ben Gordon out of the game. He was pulled early in the first quarter and didn't return until very late in the quarter.
Also, the bulls need to learn that if you crowd Nowitski with your bigs, he won't get his shot off so easily. He like to step back and shoot over the top. This is very easy when you have a 6'7 guy on him. Not so easy with a 6'11 guy guarding him.
One last point, if you are sending in defense, why wasn't Rose pulled as well? It's not like he is a shut down defender.

If you look at the box score for Ben Gordon, it appears he had a pretty good game. He choked more than anyone on this team tonight. I can understand some missed shots, they happen to everybody. The turnovers Gordon committed in the 4th and overtime though, NO excuse. It was frustrating watching him and the team pi*s this game away when they had it well in hand.
This team would be really good if Gordon wasn't around.

Rose has been a very ineffective rookie so far.

Thanks for making some sense about BG.
Any other player with his stat line would not have to continually have such nonsense written about him. Once again as Vinny goes with his "defensive" lineup the Bulls can't hold a lead. To have BG siting on the bench during these stretches becomes more senseless as the season goes on. Great defense by the chosen one on that shot by Jason Kidd also. How about a double team on Nowitzki? Still can't believe they hired a guy with no head coaching experience.
I think you are now officially the No.1 simpleton on this board!

Congrats

Gordon??
He starts off hot in the 4th , then they bury him the corner...so Heinrich, Rose, Nocioni, and Deng can make all their one-on-one moves.
I don't need a boxscore to see that the offense the Bulls run is ridiculous. Rose comes down 8-9 times a game and fires before he makes ONE pass.
The Bulls lost this game the same way as in Minnesota, we give the Ball to Rose, he is forced to go left and He clanks it at the end. There is never even a whiff off a pass to an open man.
Is Rose already starting to look like Stephon Marbury to you, too.

Agreed

Sorry, you lost me when you said you think. As long as you post you will own the top three retard spots on any board. It is a bit frightening you think you actually make sense. Sad thing is you are probably even more delusional in what you call a real life.

That makes me feel good, thanks!
