I'd hate to see Nocioni go. These guys better step it up if they end up trading him to make room for their undeserved contracts.

Let him go play in Europe! he sucks and so do the Bulls. Paxson Had his chance to make this team good and dropped the ball. Missed out on KJ, Kobe, and Beasely. Rose will be a bust 2 years and he will be gone.

Please, don't spend any money on Gordon. It's bad enough that the Bulls spend $70+ million on Deng, but please let Gordon go on his way.

please Pax, PLEASE don't sign Gordon. one, he's a scorer and thats it. if he has a bad night...he's MVP of the other team. two, it basically ruins any chance of signing an impact player for years to come. gordon is worth about 5 mill a year, if that. you sign him close to 10 million and we're changing our name to the Chitown Knicks, cuz only NY would be dumb enough to sign a ONE dimensional guy to that amount. ok its nowhere near Houston's 20 mill but...its still bad. try and unload gordon, gooden and hughes...in that order. stop watching highlights of Gordon's 4th quarter heroics and realize we're behind because in the first 3 quarters...he lets the guy he's guarding score at will. if he only played average defense...he'd be worth it. but his defense is as bad as Cedric Benson's tackle breaking ability. its non existent...

I like Deng as a player but I still think this contract was a little much for a guy who took a step back number wise. I would be surprise if Gordon is still a Bull when camp begins. Nocioni plays with a lot of heart, but the only players that should be considered untradeable at this point are Derrick Rose of course, and now Deng.

I think it is crazy how everyone is saying let Gordon walk and he is garbage. I will admit his defense is terrible, but this is a guy who has some trade value. Any guard who can shoot the way Gordon can will be valuable if playing in the right system and in the right role. I do agree that Chicago may not be the best situation for him but don't let him walk. Package the guy with Gooden's expiring deal and get us a post player.

i'd hate to see nocioni traded. he is their best all-around player and the heart and soul of the team. not to mention he makes about 4 million less a year than deng.

Gordon Sucks! Hes not even worth half of his desired 12 million dollar a year paycheck. Worst defender in the NBA hands down! I could drive by him...

Hey Ben it doesn't matter that you score 18 points a game when you give up 25+ a game and that is being conservative. He gets totally owned in the playoffs and his so called fourth quarter performance is crap! He hasn't done shit in the fourth since his rookie year when yes he was awesome.

Pax it is trade time!

I heard that Joel Pryzbilla might be availible for larry hughes. I would do that it would give us a great defensive center and we could use a big with some toughness. Still need to package a few guys for a star like Tmac, Wade, Carmelo or even guys like Josh Smith or Gerald Wallace would be nice pieces.

True take Noce away and you have a team full of Gutless losers. They need some more guys with that killer instinct like Mike had. Not alleged leaders like Deng that run and hide when the going gets tough.

Tom, you are an ass. Nocioni is in his last year of his contract so Pax should take his time if he is going to deal him. Since the Bulls are reluctant to trade Hinrich that must mean they are keeping their eyes out for a sign and trade with Ben Gordon.

I read this article about Deng and I don't understand how Deng can get more money then his team mates.
He still have to prove himself.
Deng is not Michael Jordan.
I don't think Michael Jordan got a big contract like that in his earlier years.
What happen to the love of the game and not the love of money?
Please tell me I am just a FEMALE Bulls fan, what do I know.(smile)
Thanks for article,

There's a couple reasons why Pax is locked out of the negotiations. 1 - he stinks at it. 2 - he won't be around to see more than 2 seasons of any long term deal. He is in the bottom 5 GMs in the league without question. It amazes me that no one ever mentions the fact the he gave Kirk Heinrich a HUGE contract; a mediocre tweener guard who every other guard in the league salivates to play against, and then hard balled better players in Deng and Gordon. That's why they rebelled last year, they were insulted.

Add that to overpaying for Ben Wallace, then drafting two other non scoring, overrated, undersized PF in consecutive years (Aldridge for Thomas was horrible and he definitely picked the wrong Gator big man) and we have his recipe for rebuilding that has yet to reach a conference final. Until he is unemployed, the Bulls will suffer.

I'd hate to see nocioni go. I'm a huge bulls fan and its been hard enough watching Deng and Gordon get their ways. These guys are asking a ridiculous amount of money when they have yet to show their potential, especially last season. Why lock these guys up who complain and/or are hurt all throughout the regular season?

Ben Gordon is the last player the Bulls need. A 6-3 guard who can only shoot and sometimes not very good at that, is not a 50 mil player. He screwed up when he didn't sign last time when the Bulls made the dumb offer so Bulls, do not do it again. Trade him for a second round draft choice. You have better guards than him on the roster now and with him gone it alleviate the roster problems.

You add up all these comments and you get a big zero. Let's correct a few mis-statements and facts. Gordon was never 6-3; he's lucky to be 6-0 at best. Try going to game, sitting courtside and seeing for yourself. The numbers/stat's the players/NBA use are doctored by agents and players. It's been documented in the coverage on Gordon for years. Having said that, he is a phenomenal shooter and instant offense for an undersized guard. Great player to have coming off the bench, and worth a ton of money. But, same money as Deng. C'mon. And, Deng should get $70-80 million? What have Reinsdorf and his money-men seen that the fans have missed for the last 4 seasons? I think most fans would be very comfortable if the Bulls moved both Deng and/or Gordon before they became unrestricted FAs. Frankly, I think they missed it; if they wanted to take a chance on either Deng/Gordon, it should have been on Ben. Finally, Nocioni has received far less credit for his on-court impact and bravado that so many of his team-mates lack. The Bulls do need more front-line bulk, speed out of center position, etc. but not to waste for rejects of other teams. Who started the Brad Miller rumor? Might be worth a trade or look-see on that one. And oh yes, get off the Paxson nonsense. The Bulls brain trust isn't just John Paxson. When are you going to wake up and realize that their bungling is symbolic of a group collaborative, not individual idiocy.

Everything previously commented on means nothing huh? Then why did you repeat alot of what was already said???

Paxson is the figure head he got all the glory two years ago when everyone thought he was a genious. Now its payback time and he has to take the blame for a poorly managed roster and continued failure to address team needs. Fact is Paxsons team sucks and his management style sucks and this year despite lucking into the first pick the bulls will suck.

Everyone is going to turn on this team just like Pacer fans turned on Larry Bird and his malcontents. Can't keep feeding the fans crap and expect them to like it unless you are the cubs.

Many points listed above are all valid and strangely refreshing. I can tell many people here have watched plenty of Bulls basketball over the last three years. It's ridiculous to think the fans are going to come around and get behind a bunch of players who quit so unprofessionally last season because things got dicey. And to think that team was still in playoff range last season, only to never seize the moment. I am excited to see Rose though. I hope he turns into a leader for the team because they don't exist on the roster right now.

To pay Deng that amount of money is reckless. Paxon needs to stop being bullied and trade someone. just trade anyone. Does anyone here think he can do it?

i think that gordon is going to be trade. Or ... in fact singn and traded do to the money problems. With derek rose now the top one of the top players on the team somethings got to give. And i like gordon he is the man!! but do you really think that the bulls will have gordon and rose together. If they do a sign and trade then you can get a better center for the bulls. maybe im crazy but it just might happen.

let gordon go. maybe pkg him and heimrich. i think everyone wants change. start over with some new faces. these 2 are the reasons for last years failure. capt kirk and lil ben. kirk dribbles too much. gets in trouble. 3 seconds to shoot. gordon puts up a clanker. thats what we are used too. these guys need to be moved. for the sake of the org, mr reinsdorf and the fans.

Deng is a waste, he's to small and gets pushed around. Gordon's been the top scorer for the last 3 years because no one on the Bulls is a consistant scorer. Sure he's realy but who's hands do the Bulls put the rock in when the games on the line?
