I knew this game was going to be a tough one with both Yao and McGrady coming back full strength. For the Bulls just not a lot of consistent foul shooting and cold floor shooting. Still Tyrus Thomas was all over the floor. TT is definitely improving. VDN was asking a bit much from Noc and TT to guard Yao. Great effort by the Bulls just a Greg Monroe, Blake Griffin, or Hasheem Thabeet away from winning a game like this.

We lost this game because of poor foul shooting. Throughout the whole game I kept saying to myself, we should be winning. Vinny substitutions were horrible, he kept his scorers out of the game to long at times, Rose, Deng & Gordon. Why would he leave Gordon on the bench for so long in the fourth. I understand that he played the whole third, but we were down by 7 at the start of the forth, next thing you know its a 16 point lead, then he brings Gordon in at the 5min mark. Im sorry but he should have been in at the 9 or 8min mark.(And please dont anyone tell me, it's because he was playing bad defense) His man wasnt scoring & the defensive sqaud Vinny had on the floor couldnt stop anyone. Now the PG MEANING rOSE & hINRICH NEED to get guys more involved, it seems that Hinrich was only calling his number when he was in the game & sometimes Rose has to set guys up first and then pick ur spots to score. Example when deng, rose & gordon were on the bench your go to guy should be noce or someone else, hinrich should be the last option being that he is the PG. My reason for saying that his Hinrich gets carried away at times thinking he in ALL WORLD (ONLY IN HIS MIND LMAO)and he messes up the flow of the game all the time. Now TYRUS THOMAS NEW NAME SHOULD BE "FOOL" thats how he plays with no sense of how to play the gane of basketball. He is great at times, but potential means nothing when u make grade school mistakes. Everytime the Bulls got close he took a dumb shot, was out of control driving into the lane with circus shots, never rolled when he set picks, wasnt running the floor, cant throw outlet passes & always out of position on d. When will this guy understand that he is not the teams leading scorer, cause he plays like he is the only offensive threat on the floor, which is stupidity on his part including the coaches, because they allow this guy to continue with the same dumb mistakes every game, this is why Skiles benched him, because he was tired of repeating the same damn thing, he did the same with Curry. Why do they insist on running plays threw Tyrus, it make me wanna see Gooden back so bad & i dont even like his game either. Tyrus needs to know that with his talent he does not need to force his game, yeah he can get DD's EVERY NIGHt if he just stayed around the basket & ran the floor playing defense. H ecant compare his game to Lamarcus because they are two different players. Lamarcus has a better offensive game but cant touch thomas athletic wise & on the defensive end. Example look at B wallace, this guy is an allstar & cant shoot to save his life, but he sticks to what he is good at, which is staying around the basket, playing D, grabbing Rebs & running the floor. Tyrus can do this and more if he wanted too. There are times when i think he is a borderline retard. Last thing someone plz tell Tyrus that he is not a PG SO WHEN U GET THE REB GIVE THE BALL TO YOUR GUARDS & RUN THE FLOOR, IM TIRED OF SEEING HIM TRYING TO RUN THE BREAK WHEN HE GETS A REB, HE DOES IT EVERY F***** game.
Just saying was a game we should of won.

You make some good points but Houston is a better team and it was not a game the Bulls should have won but if they got real lucky they might have won. Face the facts: they have no one to stop Yao and Houston has some really good players.
There were positives - their turnovers were down, Deng had a very good game, Tyrus was very active defensively, and the team competed hard for 48 minutes. Let's see how they do tonight before we rip them apart too badly.

Can we please get rid of Kirk Hinrich and Aaron Gray. I cannot stomach them on my TV screen. Kirk just dribbles the life out of a game. Why did he play so much in that 4th quarter. And how much longer are they going to take to realize that Aaron Gray does not belong in the NBA. HE SUCKS!!. Why does he always grab the ball and squeeze it from the ref? Does he realize thats the only rebound he is going to get in the game. He is way too slow to play defense, cannot jump or finish strong around the basket.

No-Shot No-Talent No-Ah is back! The clown Noah is weakling and he is not an NBA player. He shows up 1.5 games out of 10.

Why is Tyrus taking 15 shots?

Here's the stat I saw, Yao 28 points. Noah and Gray combined, 4 points. How can anyone overcome that differential? I guess the guy who's not responsible, i.e. Paxson, doesn't realize that until they get SOMETHING...ANYTHING in the middle, this team is toast against good teams.

It takes a commitment to a system to win tough road games. There is too much one on one play and no leadership on the court or from the bench. Any shot that Tyrus Thomas takes outside of 5 feet should cause him to be benched. The coach has to establish the system and assign the roles of the players in that system. I am tired of the plays where one person touches the ball and hoists up a degree of difficulty playground shot. The coach is overwhelmed, and the players are playing without discipline. The bulls will only beat teams that try to run with them. Any team that runs set plays and goes through the post will always beat the bulls.

I didn't see the game, but the box score says the Bulls got more shots, committed less turnovers and got some good fast breaks.

It appears they lost this game at the foul line. What happened? i thought the Bulls were top 5 in FT %, yet they shot 50%? Had they hit FT they may have won. Houston also got 10+ more FT, typical of a home game. Let's see if Houston can win in Chicago, I think this team is jelling a little more now.

Of course the Rockets are a better team, but that does not mean they cant be beat. The Bulls had their chances, as bad as Noah played lastnight, Yao did not hurt us that much, you expect games like that from an ALL sTAR, HE WAS on the bench just as much as Noah. Mcgardy or artest didnt kill us either. Its just everytime they got close they didnt make a turnover, but they didnt make smart plays (smart paly: wrong ppl shoting the ball in crunch time) which is just as worst. Just think Rose missed an easy lay up before half. They would have been down only 1 point, not to mentioned they missed atleast 10FT by half, that gives them a 9 pt lead going into half. Again in the third Gordon scored to make it 56 to 55 and what happens, FOOL (TYRUS THOMAS)THROWS THE BALL AWAY, THEN COMES DOWN ON DEFENSE AND FOULS SCOLA FOR A THREE POINT PLAY. Scola is a perfect example what Tyrus should be doing, the guy murdered us I think he had like 19 rebs with 16 pts, he took only 2 jump shots that he made, all in the flow of his team's game. Now imagine Tyrus playing like that with his athlectic ability. We lost becuz we had no productivity from ur bigs like Gray (missing two ft shots in the paint) & Noah (with his little hands), bad substitutions by Vinny (he is getting better i must admitt) & our defensive squad could not get stops.

Why should Thomas not take 15 shots? He could take better ones at times but its a learning process. To say that he shouldn't take a shot over 5 feet is dumb because his shot is better than that. Nocioni/Gooden would take that many shots or more in that role in that many min with not much better shooting %. He also had 4 assists.

Also, the crticism of Thomas' defense is laughable. The fact of the matter is that you need to keep him involved to keep him working.

Gordon's shot selection on the other hand is terrible and his only saving grace is that he can somehow make a few of those bad shots.

Where has his floater gone? Oh yeah, he would rather drive all the way into the guys towering over him only to be blocked or hope for a foul.

This team needs to bring someone in to work with the big guys. It's clear that the coaching staff is geared toward guard play. TT and Noah will never develop on this team and it is unfair to just ask them to rebound and block shots. If they could develop a few post moves and play with there back to the basket then this would open up more open shots for the guards.

Where was Deng in the second half? Again, poor coaching and substitution patterns.

Bull's suck, and they want to get rid of Ben Gordan. The media plays down his 20 points a game, he gets know love from the media ( only Rose dose, who I like). What would the Bulls being doing with out his 20 points. When he leaves at the end of the season it will be just another example of another good player who will go somewhere and have an great career.

Just like Jamal Crawford? Gimmie a break, he's an undersized guard who can't dribble or play a lick of defense! He'd fit in well with the Cavs coming off the bench.

Great point. I noticed that when Pax first took over. Post offense has never seemed to be a priority to him. It shows in his acquisitions and in the fact that they haven't had a big man-oriented coach (including assistant coaches) since Cartwright was fired as the head coach.

The problem with this team is even if they do bring in a big man coach, there will be a limit to how far he can take the Bulls' bigs because they're just limited talent-wise. Tyrus Thomas isn't a true 4. He's not heavy enough and he doesn't really want to be a 4. It'd be nice if Noah learned a post move or two but that's just not his game and Pax knew it when he drafted Noah.

The Bulls need to Pax to commit to the front line. With the exception of Gray - who is as slow as molasses - Pax has passed on low-post scorers for athletes and "energy" bigs. That's cool if you have an OUTSTANDING group of perimeter players...but we don't.
