It's amazing the insight you can provide when you're not just worried about advancing some childish vendetta. Nice work Mr. Morrissey.

All D'Antoni knows is " Play Ground" basketball. No Defense and no second shots after a HIGH PERCENTAGE miss.I watched him here in Phoenix and I never saw a Championship while he was coaching this style of play.

Thank you for putting my thoughts into words. I have never seen so many people in love with a coach, particularily one that hasn't won a championship. It's like everyone forgot that it's the players, not the coach.

Nice damage control on behalf of Pax and Jerry, Rick. D'Antoni's system would have been entertaining for the fans to watch, for the players to play in, potentially increasing their confidence and their value for future trades, you know, the ones Paxson has been stockpiling his assets for. This is an example of the indecision borderline cowardly risk aversion the Bulls organization has shown now in four instances, the other three involving the Defensive Player of the Year, the Acquisition of the Year, and the MVP. But I supposed that regardless if Donnie Walsh is as respected and worthy a GM as the consensus opinion seems to be, he should have asked you first.

D'Antoni averaged almost 60 wins a year in the West, not the East. He took the Spurs to the limit before having questionable suspensions end his title pursuit. He developed young players like Amare Stoudemire, Leandro Barbosa, and even Boris Diaw into producive players. His system allowed Nash to explode, showing us a Nash we never saw even in Dallas when he was running and down with Dirk. Us loyal Bulls fans, who have endured 10 years of futility and still sell that building out, were tired of watching the drive and kick offense, of combo guards ill suited to be ball handlers just dribble, dribble the clock down or end up turning it over. Bulls fans deserve better and aren't getting it, haven't been getting it, and probably won't get it from this regime.

D'Antoni is a great coach, I love him. I wish him the best at the Knicks, it would be great to see him turn that organization around. And the way to start it out, Is DRAFTING OJ Mayo, the next greatest one, you heard it here. I am predicting him to explode on the NBA front.

humanhighlightreel, that's JUST what the Bulls need. An incredibly unbearable, immature, egotistical pile like OJ Mayo to go along with the rest of this incredibly unlikeable team.

Rick, my thoughts exactly. You said everything I've been thinking and then some. Who cares about this guy!. Never even heard of him until the Suns let him go. To paraphrase someone who escapes me at the moment: "It's the players stupid".
