Ben Gordon and Luol Deng are not centerpiece players. They're good but the Bulls should not overpay them at the expense of being able to sign better players. Larry Hughes is overpaid and Ben Wallace was too. If you're going to end up with the Bulls 2008 W/L record you should get well rounded, hard working players who relish playing bullet proof defense for less money and hope to score the better players later.

Hi boys, LeRon here again, nice talking to you. Just want to say that Luol and Ben are my boys. I say, pay them the max because those boys deserve every single penny.

Pay them the max for a 33/49 record ?

For some reason some people think they deserve the "max" for no apparent reason - why is that ?

Definitely overpaid Hinrich - Nocioni sets the right competitive tone. Keep Gordon or Hinrich depending on who else you have and the money - but not both.

They are not worthy of the max! No player in that team is worthy of that type of contract. No making the trades for Gasol and Kobe will haunt "pax" for ever! Now he has no leverage whatsoever!

I think you offer them less then what you offer them for this pass season. Lou & Ben numbers are down in ever catogory and they didn't make the playoffs and didn't do anything to deserve the money they're looking for. You have to pay them more then Kirk, so I would say 48 to 50 million a piece.
