This is payback for Sterling's unwillingness to pay Brand max money a few years back. Instead, he let Brand get a lower offer from Miami (the max Miami was allowed to offer) and matched that lower offer. Brand was held hostage then. Now that he can walk a free man, he owes the Clippers nothing.

It is not the money here, it's not the players -they have a decent team! It is not the owner, it's Dunleavy and his penchant for surrounding himself with players who follow his dictates- read Kaman. Cassell, Livingstone. He is a bad coach and does not have the skill to get the best out of people. Maggette was treated so badly as was Wilcox & Jaric. Giving Kaman a $52M contract was the craziest thing I've ever seen in the NBA. Why Sterling didn't drop him last year over the Maggette transfer puzzles me. Baron Davis jumped without a parachute!

EB is a great guy. My cousin a team Dr. for the Clips and said he and his family are quality people. I wish EB the best if he does bolt from the Clips.

I honestly don't blame him, the Clips are a loser franchise with a big time loser owner. I won't be suprised if Davis signs elsewhere and don't blame him either.

Why would Brand or Magette want to stay? This franchise is the among the more poorly managed franchises in professioal sports. Sterlingshould sell it.

Brand walking away. What I cannot accept is him telling the Clips,'get a point guard and I'll stay' so they did, and he didn't.

Just be honest, come out and say,'if this were the last place on earth to play hoop, I wouldn't do it.'

Bye Elton, we actually thought you were different. Serves us right for thinking that uber millionaires care about the fans or their teams.
