scot pollard is hard nosed and agressive he may not score points but he can rebound on the other hand p j brown would be perfect for the magic as a locker room and on the court leader. out of all of these players listed if we can get p j brown with the vet pay and do some kind of sign and trade for our former second round pick Anderson Varejao that would give us a deep front court. howard varejao grotat and pj brown

Chris Webber to Orlando for the vet's minimum? Imagine if he finally played for Orlando after all these years!
I can't wait to see what the new season brings.
Go Magic!

i think either pj brown may be skinner if brown isn't aviable. 3rd choice melvin ely and last choice micheal O (i can't spell the last name). that'd be my choices for big man. i like mickel pietrus cause he can be both a forward or a guard but i doubt we'll have money to fork out for him.

Even if Webber is available...I dont think he'll be able to run with SVG's offense. I dont like him with the cast the Magic has. Besides...He wants a ring. We are a true guard and a Big away from that. Now PJ would help. OTIS is not done. This man loves closed door conversation and not much in media. Patience.

I feel what the magic needs is a small forwad or a shooting guard!!!! The deal for Lewis is a great move, but the question is, who can step up to fill Grant Hill's shoes? Orlando has some good young players at the shooting guard position but no one can take over a game from the outside each game. The magic have no cap room but, I feel that we need to make some trades to get an All-Star shooting guard. Nelson is a great point guard but he needs to be on point. What we need is a high scoring shooting guard!!!! Then the magic will compete for the title. Howard is and will be one of the NBA's best big men. Lewis is a scoring power and small forward. What the magic needs is the, one, two, three punch. Give no other team any option to guard us. We have one of the best defences in the NBA. I want to see the magic blow teams out of the water.

With reguards to everyone that thinks that the Magic needs another big man, I don't agree. I agree that in today's NBA you need big men to compete for the Title. But I feel the Dwight Howard is just starting to come into his own. Howard has more talent that he gets credit for. He is only 21 years old and he is considered one of the NBA's best big men. Each year you see him, he will ony get better. Tony Battie add years to this roster. We need his leadership. Rashard Lewis can play the 3 and 4 positions. Very well in fact. I'm excited to see him play. But I feel the focus should be on a trade for a better shooting guard. I feel we should trade Bogans and Garrity and maybe even Travis Diener for what the Magic realy needs. Ariza is a great player. Redick can shoot the lights out, but needs time. Turkoglu you never know how he will play night in and night out. Even at best Turkoglu could get us 25, but only every so often. The Magic need someone who can start and get us 20 or more points every night. And on a good night 30 plus. Having an outside scorer will free up Howard and Lewis to take over the game. That is how we will get to the Finals again!!!!!!!

I think Brian Skinner would be a welcome addition to the team.He can bring the Enforcer personality that is needed on every team, plus it would be a cheap acquisition to help with the rebounding and defense

I agree but to get a really good shooting we'll have to wait till next yr. I doubt OTIS will make a huge trade and sort of complicate the chemistry. He'll keep waht he has and get a decent player who does not demand much..ie, PJ brown. Next yr we have Garrity/Arroyo/Dooling coming off and they'll go for someone like Maggette etc.

About Grant Hill's role, I think with the addition of Rashard and the emergence of JJ Redick, we'll forget about GHILL very soon. Offcourse we'll miss his locker room presence. Keep in mind, Other then HOWARD, Almost everybody on the roster has something to prove this yr. Dooling/JJ/Jameer had sorry season. HEDO was on and off...JJ is about to blow up, Rashard wants to show that he can be the MAN and worth 113mil. On the other hand, you have Ariza playing for a contract and Battie as a Steady Big!! JJ/Ariza will be and X factor coming season. And if, IF, Jameer can play a pure point guard role without having to worry about offense, which he should be since Rashard is in town, then WATCH OUT! We have a solid young emerging TEAM.

I would consider Pietrus and Blatche (who probably won't go anywhere). Varejao won't go anywhere either i guess. All the others won't fit in this team. The Magic have a young squad and adding a though player like pietrus one it would be great. Blatche is a good player, and will only become better when he gets experience.I would even try to trade Turk and Arroyo, both not really worth there contracts. PJ would be a dressing room guy, but then should garrity go first. I think the Magic will have a lot of work in the remainder of the off-season if they want to go to the finals, but their start by signing Lewis was hopefull.

Good call but I doubt MAGIC has anything available for going after somebody like peitrus or blatche. They are also staying away from letting Turk go because he is a Huge insurance if there injuries and Hedo is great coming off the bench. That is why OTIS is waiting this out now and see whats going on around and who is a decent left over right now. We only need a decent defensive BIG and thats to our advantage. We have enough young offensive power. Besides, Magic is not really going for the Finals this yr., they simply got much better to make an impact. Its clear that we are 2 or 3 decent role players away from making a huge impact. Garrity/Dooling/Arroyo contract are coming off soon and we'll be ready to make that change. We need to be patience and let Jameer/Ariza/JJ develop and see what they can do. They all have a lot to prove this coming season so this should be very VERY interesting to see. Jameer sucked so he is be very proactive and play more free since he doesnt need to be an offensive weapon and especially if OTIS lets him prove before getting an extension. JJ also was limited due to injuries and playing time so he'll be kicking butt. And Ariza needs an extension too so watch out.

we should get Chris Webber because then we would be a 3 all-star team and he also mentioned on tnt before going to the pistons that orlando is team that he would like to go to.

Nabil, Webber is Good but It would not be a good fit for orlando. Too slow if you ask me. He bombed in the playoffs for the pistons and lost the edge.
I could be wrong.
