"...the Rockets knocked the Cavs out of their offensive rhythm."

Sadly, this happens much too often against Coach Brown - if the Cavs utilized a system that was offensively sound, personnel limitations and injuries might not be as glaring - just my opinion - LeBron needed a double triple double last night.

Houston is a good team, but not a great team. The bench (or lack there of) is what killed the Cavs last night. Games like that are when they really miss AV's energy off the bench!
The Cavs played like they are all wondering what will happen before the trade deadline too. After tomorrow the roster will be set, hopefully AV and Pavs get back next week, and the Cavs can then get into a groove before the playoffs.

By the way Bibby fans...

Last night - Bibby 16 minutes, 1-5, 4 fouls, 5 points, Hawks lose by 29. Look out, he's gonna turn them around!

Several weeks ago someone said the Cavs wouldn't make the playoffs in the west, and many folks think once everyone is healthy they'll be right in the hunt with the present roster.
Here's some stats:
Cavs are 13 and 12 vs. the west so far.
They have an overall winning percentage of .547.
Two teams are tied in the west for the 7, 8 spots with a .623 percentage (one is last nights opponent) and Golden State is 9th with a .604. The Cavs would be 10th in the west.
I know, I know the Cavs are in the east.
The point is, they will make the East playoffs.
They are a mediocre team.
They have the best player in basketball.
A this point making a move isn't going to make that much difference. Kidd, Gasol etc. are gone.
We have a GM that has shown the ability to do nothing.
Enjoy the rest of the season. I hope I'm wrong.

Hey Cheap A$$ Danny Ferry - get them some help at point guard by tomorrow's deadline please !!!!
OK. But the following conditions must be met:

1.You may never post again.
2.You must take your medication regularly.
3.You must stop calling LeBron names.
4.You must come out of the closet and admit your Browns admiration.
5.You must change your license plates to read JAX 31-29.

If you agree I will bring a point guard here tonite.

Sincerely;

Danny

Larry Hughes' hot streak ended, since when is 1 game a streak. If we do make a trade Larry needs to be in it.

Hopefully we got the "clunker" out of the way last night, and we can start back to playing winning basketball. I think last night we miss our energy guy Varejao more than we have all season. I am hoping Ferry is able to pull off a trade if only to inject some life into the team. We have done a decent job this season considering all the injuries and holdouts, but it looks as if it is finally catching up with us.

Unfortunately Iím a season ticket holder and was at last nightís game. It was the most pathetic game Iíve ever witness. This team is being run by two guys that are extremely incompetent. The next effective in game adjustment Mike Brown makes will be his first. As a coach heís totally clueless. And Danny Ferry is the worst GM in league history. We have 5-6 guys on this team that donít belong in the NBA any longer. And our #1 pick from 2006 Shannon Brown is the second most athletic player on the team doesnít even dress for games. I no longer have any confidence or respect in Coach Brown or Danny Ferry. Forget about trades or free agent signings the first move that needs to be made to keep Lebron in Cleveland would be to fire these two jack-a$$es.

Although I am currently not as upset as you about the state of the Cavs...had I spent money on tickets for last night's game, I probably would have left a similar post.

You're an idiot, which 1 game are you referring to, his 40 point game or his great game that followed against the spurs, or any of his solid games over the last 2-3 weeks?

He had a tough shooting night but still ended up with 16 or so points, some boards and some dimes.

Go somewhere else and make remarks that were appropriate 3 months ago.

I completely respect that this is "just your opinion". Would you enlighten me as to what offensively sound system you think the cavs should employ. I'm actually asking because there aren't too many people on this board who have any idea about the nuiances of basketball, and I hope that you might.

After 5 days off the Cavs are always lethargic. As a team they seem to have a difficult time focusing. These are mental problems. It is the coach's responsibility to see that this doesn't happen.

LeBron may of had a triple double, but he also continued to throw the ball away and made poor decisions. His head seemed to still be in New Orleans or else he was sulking about "no trade".

The Cavs existing "Point Forward" would not except a new point guard's help, if a trade was made. LeBron wants to control the ball and Mike Brown totally excepts that. When Brown doesn't demand player movement, proper spacing and crisp sharp passes, the Cavs are going to lose no matter what their "Point Forward" does.

Shannon Brown will become a fine NBA player. Once he's pick up by a team with a coach that can draw up a play or two. The kid has never had an oppuntunity to show his ability. Stro and Dahnte at least got a chance to play.

What do you mean Lebron would want a point guards help... he's openly lobbied for it! I don't believe they should make any trades and open up that cap space a year from now, but don't say Lebron doesn't want a point guard, it makes you look like a fool.

Does anyone know when Kidd's contract with Dallas is up?

I was gonna say?!

I'm not buying into the doom and gloom like the rest of these idiots. Although I do understand how frustrating it is to spend money on tickets and have the team lay an egg! That's why HDTV is such a great thing!

For all the criticism of Ferry, be aware that he is saddled with cap problems, no tradeable assets, and big contracts (before you scream "Larry Hughes!" remember that when he came here everyone applauded and praised Ferry for doing exactly what they are demanding he do now). Quite frankly, would any team trade a star for what the Cavs can offer?
Next year some money clears, contracts end, and Ferry will have more room to maneuver. Save your fire 'til then. For now, hope that AV and Sasha can come back soon and put more quality bodies on the court for the stretch run.
