Most important will be the finances going forward.

Need to keep Verejao and Wallace together for a few years. Just having them standing on either side of the hoop on defense, with their big hair, will be an intimidating factor!

Poor Larry. He never got chance to show his stuff. He never got a chance to shoot 25 times a game....and make 3. Unfortunately, we only got a chance to see him muff 16 shots a game, and his drives slapped back time and again.

Last night's game proved three things...

1. Lebron is the MVP of the league! NO DOUBT!

2. Damon Jones and Devin Brown are key components of this team!

3. Eric Snow plays really hard but just doesn't have any skill!

What a big win and exciting night with the 4 new guys obviously excited and ready to go!

Can't wait until Sunday's game.

Here's hoping it really does get "hairy in the paint" for opposing teams' offenses.

Who is this? Has Brittle Fingers somehow hacked into OMG's computer?

You know, one of the best points about this whole trade is that Szerbiak's $13 million per contract expires next year, so the Cavs did not have to give up any of next year's flexibility. With $25+ million in expiring contracts next year, they are loaded up to pull off another blockbuster for a true superstar if this doesn't work out this year... but with that said, let's hope it does. GO CAVS!

Obviously an imposter. To find the real Grump check with the Indians and Browns posts.

Great game last night. Wizzards coach should immediatly resign.

After seeing how hard the Cav's played on Friday night (shout out to Damon Jones!!!) the new troops have got to be impressed.

When Varajao, Gibson and Sasha are back and healthy, this team will be a handful. And with possible playoffs with Detroit, Boston, LA or the Suns down the road, it will be grat having three (3!) big men to throw at 'em.

Not to douse anything, but AV is an unrestricted free agent after next season. And he won't be staying around. We re-signed him for 1 1/2 seasons, tops.

And Larry is right. We've never had any kind of motion offense here. The Cavs are LARGELY to blame for his failures. I wish him the best.

Great win last night though. Go Cavs!

Mike, I wouldn't assume the Cavs will not resign AV, just because negotiations were less than ideal this past offseason. The Cavs had all the leverage this past offseason and were not going to outbid themselves and put their salary cap in a worse position than they had to. AV will have the leverage after next season and I think the Cavs will show him the money if he continues to play like he was before getting hurt. AV likes being a Cav and playing with Lebron, if the $% is right, he will stay.

Larry and the Cavs were never a good fit and Brown is not much of an offensive coach, so moving on is best for Larry and the Cavs.

Hughes sucks. He had one good year in Washington and was terrible here. Now people claim he never fit in the system. Well he had three years to figure it out and instead we got to watch him shoot .200 from the field. And Gooden was inconsistent so I say good riddance to both of them.

Man, everyone has something to say and all they are , are guesses. Nobody knows how anyone is going to fit, play, or what their desire is for the game. Iím a Cavs fan and Iím always hoping for the best, but I try to be real about it. That being said, I think it comes down to coaching now. The Cavs have a D-Leg coach trying to be a head coach. Are the Cavs better today than yesterday? Depends on what you are looking for. I think they were looking for players who will bring the same thing every night. Ben doesnít have to be the Ben of old, just bring what you got every night and LaBron can work with it. The same for the other players who came in the trade. So Iím hoping they got better, but only time will tell. This bring me back to my point of coaching. Brown trys, but he is in over his head. How many times do the Cavs stand around with no movement and watch LaBron (coaching)? How many times has LaBron won games at the end and all that Brown can say is ďWOWĒ(coaching)? How many games did the Cavs start 2 guards shooting 30%(coaching)? Why was Shannon Brown not playing, then starting, than not playing at all again(coaching)? Defensive coach!! Slowing the game down doesnít make you a defensive coach. Walking the ball up and keeping the score down, doesnít make you a defensive coach. Giving up the baseline and letting small guards get 15 to 20 points inside tells a diff story. Itís hard for a coach to win games, but very easy for them to lost them. Sometimes no matter what the team looks like on paper, sometimes it comes down to what you do with the things you have.

I've got to agree with John. It's hard to see now, but don't rule out AV re-signing with the Cavs because of the bad blood between Fagan & Ferry. The Cavs will have Anderson's Bird rights, so they can pay him more than any other team, in theory. He may, in the end, decide that he wants to stay with a team where he fits in and makes the most cash.

And I can't say the Cavs are largely to blame for Larry Hughes failed run as a Cav - although they played a part. As a shooting guard, Hughes rarely produced good offensive numbers. I agree that the offense wasn't a good fit for him - the Cavs don't have much of an offense, and there is little movement without the ball. But the team did very well when he ran the point. Hughes was mostly unwilling to accept that role, despite it obviously being what was best for the team, and for that I think he should shoulder the blame. Also, Hughes was predictably injured for most of the time he was with Cleveland, and that on it's own was a big part of the problem.

BUCK from Lima Ohio. Don't hate on Mike Brown son, Hughes and Gooden were just weak minded competitively on the court, you fool. Soon as something didn't go their way they had a tough time shaking it off.

Larry had plenty of time to showcase his skills. when LeBron was out, he never stepped up. Larry worked 1 month and sat out 2 months, still collecting 12 mill. I blame him for our loss In the finals @ 12 mill you play with a broken leg and also a broken arm in the finals, but he took the chump way out. During Wild things hold out, I don't blame him for saying the Cavs want him to play hard for peanuts, when they have people playing a third of the the time making 10 times as much.
Now as a fan I need to bring a class action lawsuit against larry for mis representing himself as a basketball player and stealing all that money from this fine organization.

Coach Brown's not getting the respect from alot of the fans In which I think he's earned. Being able to corral all the egos, and piece together 1 Allstar and 4 role players, and take the team all the way to the finals, and never complained....is something that shouldn't be over looked.

Jeff, thanks for the names, sorry I'm not as smart as you seem to think you are. Not hating on Brown, just telling it like it is. I'm glad Larry and Gooden are gone, but it still doesn't make Brown a real coach. I hope he does become a better coach. But I'm not going to say he is when he's not. If you think he is, just showes how dumb you are. But in a free country, everyone can be as dumb as they chose. I not mad at you, but you should check the facks before you shoot your mouth or in this case, your keyboard off. I guess this is what happens when you let kids get in grown folks conversations. They throw tantrum and get upset that someone said something about their daddy. I'm sure that evenif he never says it, "LaBron" feels the same way about daddy Brown. But let me put it in words you will understand, nay, nay, nay, nay. I still got love for u; my bad; "you".
