For 2007-2008 I'll say 53 wins.....they will get to the conference championship series, but they get eliminated in that series.

What are Andy and Sasha thinking?$$$$$$$$$
The old adage is "There is no "I" in team." San Antonio demonstrated that in June. Their selfless attitude earned the NBA Championship. Andy and Sasha won't make their big bucks sitting at home. I hope that Devin Brwon and Dwayne Jones step up and let the hold out brothers enjoy a restful off season...w/o pay.

Nobody knows what Andy and Sasha want. I find it hard to believe that they're asking for so much money that Cleveland simply can't afford it.

Devin Brown can help if Sasha doesn't come back, but I don't think Dwayne Jones is any replacement for Andy, who hustles and doesn't need the ball during any part of an offensive play.

Without the dynamic duo, 2007-2008 = 44 wins and a loss in the 1st round of the playoffs.

Hey Danny F! Why not try to make a sign & trade deal with the Kings for Mike Bibby?

the only place Kobe can win a championship is Miami where Shaq is, he is not a champion w/out shaq

The problem for the Cavs isn't the money itself Sasha and Andy want, it's the length and what that does to the Cavs roster flexibility. It's like three years ago when they signed Hughes, Marshall and Damon Jones to the big contracts, they had the money but had no cap flexibility the last two offseasons to improve and no assests to trade to get into the KG sweepstakes. So the question is, if they sign Andy and Sasha for four years each, are you comfortable with this roster for the rest of LeBron's contract. I'd like to gut through this year with the ability to make the roster better in the future, rather than tie all their cap room up in two nice, but not great, role players.

some good post. i get fed up with people saying we didn't make any moves. we didn't make any moves because of just what bob said. we did make big signings when we could. plus andy wants around 10 mil for 6 years. dude you're a guy who can't block a shot, has no offense and is always on the floor flopping. i'm glad dan ferry is standing pat. also when you guys see this dwayne jones you'll see that he'll get just as many boards as AV. we should gut it out this year and build for the future. if sasha and AV want to be stupid about then so be. we own them even if they hold out until 2099

I agree with everything that Bob said and couldn't put it any better. And whoever says that Danny Ferry wasn't trying to work out a sign and trade deal for Bibby is crazy. They've been trying all summer but it's just not going to happen. There is no way the Cavs can give up Gooden because there so thin on the frontline. I'm hoping Dwayne Jones can produce and if so see you wild thing its been fun while it lasted but your crazy if you think 10 million for 4 or 5 years is coming your way! Take the 1 year deal and play it out and leave already!

If the deal goes down, the probability is Nocioni, Gordon, Thomas OR Noah, and maybe a draft pick for Bryant and a lesser player (to even up the money...maybe Mihm or Walton...but, don't count on it...Buss and Jackson would love to get their hands on Deng and I don't think Pax is going to let that happen. Too much upside...

Again..This team is in trouble. Maybe a .500 team at best. The Cavs Management can spin this however they wish and blow off the preseason as just being the preseason. This team right now is the 3rd place team in the Central, at best. If the Cavs dont address the Andy & Sasha situation within the next few days and try to ride this season out without them, attentdance will drop,as Cleveland Fans wont accept taking a big step backward after just going to the Finals. There will be a major loss of revenue, a disgruntled and fatigued Lebron, and management with serious egg on their face for not making any moves to stay competive. Then they set the table for Lebron to leave.

I am a Spurs fan in San Antonio but I'm from Akron. The Cav's weren't around during my life in LA. I do cheer for 'em except when they play the Spurs. Now to my point. It seems the Spurs are the model franchise. True they win Championchips but their method is just like the Red Sox. "No one is better than all of us." Hmm, the spurs have stars that play as a team. They aren't worried who scores the most or has more playing time. What they want is to win. All the players including Duncan have the team and winning first. Pass to the open man. Of course you have to have open men who can hit that jumper. As you saw first hand. Outside then inside then back outside. Also, they don't have thugs or criminals, wife beaters, sex offenders. Not that the Cavs do I am just saying... Popavich interviews these guys before they get drafted or picked up as free agents. He ask how they can contrubute to the team. They play the spurs way or they don't play for the Spurs. Seems there has been a lot of success here in San Antonio using that method. Oh yeah good defense is a must even for our stars. Our stars became stars because of the system. Five or six years ago who heard of Ginobili or Parker.

So good luck and get quality players and not neccssarily all-stars. Get 'em to play a team concept.
