LeBoob wants Kidd. Ferry better go get him or it will cost him his job because what LeBoob wants, LeBoob gets. Kidd as the point guard would do to the Cavs what Oscar Robertson did as an add to Kareem years ago for Milwaukee, win the championship. I'm getting excited now.

Get Kidd, the only thing it would mean is a possible championship.
It's on Danny Ferry. He never came up big in Cleveland as a player, now he has to as a GM!!!

This would be a bad deal for Cleveland. We will have to give up too much to get a 34 yr old point guard who has shown in the past that his off the court problems can be a cancer in the clubhouse!!

Actually, the Nets do have a say in this. Just because the Cavs offer up the Pu Pu Platter doesn't mean the Nets will take it.

<quoted text>Once again you show why Cleveland fans will never see a winner. It's all or nothing to win the championship this year. They have a shot this year with him, why not go for it? Worry about down the road later. The club house will be okay. he'll retire when 2 years when LeBoob goes to his favorite NY as a FA.
Your just had another brain fart OMG.
What your saying is ONE and DONE.
Then us fans can wait another 30+ years for a championship.

If bringing in Jason Kidd means Lebron stays in Cleveland through his next deal, I'm all for it. Boston got better, Detroit got better... the list goes on. Lebron's been carrying this franchise for years now. It's time to reward him with a sidekick he deserves.

If we could manage to keep Gibson and still acquire Jason Kidd, that'd be fantastic. Sounds like Ferry doesnt have a choice... make the deal!

Hmmm. Kidd along with Carter in NJ are 19-27 and going nowhere in the standings.

If Kidd were all that talented, you'd think the Nets would have a better record.

Since the Cavs are LeBron and nothing else (which must be true, since I read it here all the time), who would the Nets or anyone else want from the Cavs in a trade? Think the Nets would trade Kidd for nothing???

I think Vince Carter and their lack of good big men is the reason the Nets are not that good. Kidd and Richard Jefferson are the only two playing consistently well for the Nets. The Nets would probably want Gooden and Gibson and Cavs 1st round pick next year, but the $ would not work out. The money could work out of Hughes were involved in a deal, but I don't think there is anyway the Nets want Hughes and his contract since there 2 more years on it after this year. I think the only way to get Kidd is to get a third team involved.

13-2 over the last 15 is ok with me!!!

I do not want Kidd or Bibby. Bibby is ALWAYS hurt and Kidd causes problems. Just what we DON'T need when the team is finally gelling and playing TEAM basketball!!

Kidd sounds great but......to give up Gooden, Gibson and even Hughes for a guy that will be 35 by the end of season??????? We need to be careful what we ask for.

I would love to see Jason Kidd as a part of our team. Just think about how great it would be to take the ball out of Lebrons hands and let him just run the floor. that could be the most explosive combo in the NBA. Needless to say, I'm all for it

I am probably one of the few who thinks the Cavs can win the East again with their current roster, provided AV plays at the same level after coming back from ankle injury and also Hughes playing more like he has the the last 2 games.

I agree with on Bibby, but not Kidd. Someone who passes the ball like Kidd would hardly prevent them from playing team basketball. Heck of a rebounder too, especially for a PG.

The Mavs are Kidd's first choice and Cavs are a heavy underdog to get Kidd, but I wouldn't mind seeing Kidd and Lebron playing together for the rest of the year and next year. But I am okay if no deal gets done too. This Cavs team is better than last years in my opinion. Their record may not be as good because of the slow start due to holdouts, Lebron's injury, and no set rotation from Mike Brown. But Lebron is playing at a higher level than last year, so is Z and AV, Gibson is more experienced, and Devin Brown is a plus.

How can a point guard run a team with no offense to run? You want change, change the coach. You want change, get a good backup center. Why does everyone want someone who can't shoot. Check out last night. And please don't bring the Big "O" into this,he could score. One of the reason the Cavs lost in the finals last year was because LaBron could not hit the short jumper. He has rid himself of the problem and now everyone wants to get someone else who can't shot.Remember how Larry was going to fix all of the Cavs problems? Most teams that make it to the finals and lose, FINE-TUNE their team by getting what they lacked and I don't think a non shooting guard is it. Why do you think the Spurs passed on Kidd 2 or 3 years ago when he was a much younger player?? With Kidd and Larry, the Cavs will have over 30 mil $ tied up in non-shooting guards, and I hope everyone knows, NOBODY is going to take Larry in a trade.I must say that Larry has looked a little better of late, but it's time for him to get hurt again, so don't get too excited.Only up side to gettin Kidd is the fact that he is known to get rid of coaches good or bad, which makes me wander why Frank is still with the Nets??He can't coach.

I agree that we can't give up what we are winning with now and lets also remember the fact that this trade in all reality will never happen but if there is a way to get a Jason Kidd that doesnt involve shooting ourselves in the foot we at least have to try. LeBron without the ball is a beautiful thing . . . let him run

Pay cuts only work in the NBA on contracts that haven't been signed yet. Lebron taking less money right now would have no effect on getting Kidd.

Buying out Hughes would have no impact on the salary cap, the luxury tax, or the Cavs ability to acquire Kidd. It would just mean we don't have Larry Hughes, who is finally having a few good games in a row.
