Excellent article. He's from Akron and he's great!
The East is up for grabs and I'd love to see the Cavs against the Pistons or Celtics in the finals again.
Considering one of the greatest players of all time has been boooooed by our brilliant local sports fan for wearing a Yankeees cap, I'm just glad we have him for now!!!

If I'm putting a team together to win this year, I'd take Kobe. If I'm wanting to win for the next 10-12 years, I'm taking Lebron. Kobe gets a lot of slack, but it's pretty much from people who don't watch the Lakers play. He's been a great team player this year, and is one of the hardest workers in the league.

You would take LeBron for the next 10-12 years because he is younger than Kobe. As far as your other statement, you are absolutely correct. Kobe is making his teammates better this year and he actually did it last year until they needed him to score 50 ppg to get the Lakers in the playoffs. I love LebRons game and to break the two down would be basically comparing apples to oranges, but Kobe is the best player in the league now and at this point, possibly ever.

Cavalier "management" was, is, and always will be inept. This is James' last contract here. Enjoy him while you can. Thank the ping-pong ball gods for the rental.

alls I can say is look at the lakers team they got now the closest thing to shaq is bynum but about lebron he dont got a ring either and probably will never get a ring because ohio teams are known for their "blowing it" in important games such as the finals last year i beleive it was a four game sweep. anyways lebron will want out of cleveland soon if they keep blowing it.

As evident now, LeBron got his championships when Gooden was there.....wait.....my bad, thats right, he doesnt have any.
A ring is a ring partner. I dont care if he got it when Bob McAdoo was there.

We should all know that you can't win it by yourself you need help... Ask Jordan Ask Kobe.. Lebron needs an All Star player with him to win it. But yea Lebron All around game is better than Kobe. Kobe the better scorer. Lebron is the total package.

Agree with you, Patrick. Unfortunately, each game like against Toronto is one more checkmark in the wrong column on his "Do I stay?, or Do I leave?" list that he'll use when the next contract comes up.

LeBron's all around "better" game is up for review. I would be willing to argue that point. Kobe is a better winner than LeBron at this point in their careers as well.

BEST EVER? PLEASE........ BEST SHOW OFF EVER. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE HIM PLAY IN THE LATE 70'S AND INTO THE EIGHTIES WHEN REAL MEN PLAYED B.BALL, NOT THESE SO CALLED PLAYER/PUNKS. HE MAY BE GOOD, BUT THE PUNKS AROUND HIM SUCK SO BAD WHO WILL EVER REALLY KNOW. FUNNY THOUGH, WHEN TEAM USA PLAYED OTHER COUNTRIES HE DIDN'T DO SO HOT.

KOBE HAD SHAQ!!! Shaq was an all-star player beside him and took numerous double teams away from Kobe. Not even fair to compare the two right now. Bring this up when and if LeBron every gets an allstar player beside him.

Shaq had no effect on Kobe's game. Would LeBron play differently if Dwight Howard was a Cav? Furthermore, who is taking away double-teams from Kobe now? I said Kobe is the best player now, not only when Shaq was a Laker, but now as well. Who is to say that Shaq would have won a championship without Kobe in LA either? Shaq had DWayde for his Miami championship. Not a bad trade off...

Big Buck, if Lebron had shaq when kobe did, Lebron/Shaq would win the title every year and even as shaq's skills diminished they would win two or three more. No need for the Kobe ego manager, phil jackson at all.

Kobe has championships, no doubt about it, the only knock on that, and he brought this on himself, is that he didn't lead that team, shaq was the leader. The evidence is that kobe won no finals mvps, no league mvps, shaq did. Kobe had his moments in his playoff career existing with shaq no doubt but it pales in comparison to shaq's numbers and what he actually meant to that team by just standing on the court(double, triple, quadruple teams, yet kobe still mangages to have a disappointing fg% in the playoffs). When Lebron gets his TITLES(in cleveland of course), he will have done it as the leader of his team and not just a great sidekick riding the most dominant center of our era shaq's coattails.

I will say that kobe is no doubt leading them now and doing a darn good job of making his teamates better. Lebron's been doing that since he came into this league at the ripe age of 18, when kobe was shooting airballs in the playoffs.

And once again to lebron's credit, he still plays team ball better than kobe(obviously) and still puts up higher numbers in just about every category.

This makes lebron the best player in the league right now. And don't even try to give me this "killer instinct" crap. Lebron is hitting more clutch shots than anyone in the league right now.

Kobe the best of all time?

That doesen't even deserve a response.

By the way, Lebron continues to outplay kobe in head to head matchups too. Can't wait until Lebron goes to LA and punks them again like last year in LA.
