Does this mean he's going to start playing for us now? Or will he be a shell of his former self for another season?

Looks like another summer for Andy not working on his shooting.

Don't expect him to be any better next year.

Hopefully, his ankle is 100% so we can trade him

i know a lot of people hate anderson at the moment. i was extremly pissed at him myself for the hold out. i do have to admit though when he first came back he looked really good. you could tell he had worked pretty hard on making that 10 footer and knocking down his free throws. when he first got injured he was never the same. i actually don't hate the guy and would like to see how he does from day 1 of training camp. now sasha pavlovic is a different story.

Very Jo should be traded if anyone will have him.

Yeah, he basically did everything he possibly could to escape Cleveland, so he's trade bait in my mind. He certainly wont be back once his current deal is up after the coming season. See what you can get, or maybe package him in a megadeal.

I think the Cavs would be able to replace 7 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 turnovers a night...

Trade up with Minnesota... I wonder if they would take Andy and our #1 pick? Perhaps sign and trade Gibson or West with the pick?

It'd be tough, but that'd make a lot of sense. Mayo just signed with LeBron's marketing company and hired LeBron's agent. He got his start just down the road in Wva. Athletic shooting guard should probably be in the top two as far as needs go on this team.

Yes, but we need a player who will make an immediate impact. Can the Cavs afford to wait on a player?

Gosh, Mayo has a ton of talent, though.

So if we're going to keep our draft pick rather than trade it, who's a bigger risk, a guy like Kosta Koufos or Chris Douglas-Roberts, or a guy like Mayo who looks about as NBA ready as anyone in the draft.

If you dont get a guy like Mayo, better hope a PG like Augustine or Lawson is there at 19. And Ferry had better do some damage with a trade, for maybe a Jermaine O'neal roll of the dice.

Immediate impact is tough to find in the draft, but Mayo looks like a stud.

Since there's all this talk about Miami considering trading Wade to Chicago for the #1 pick plus a player or 2, maybe the Cavs could get in the game? How about AV, Gibson and an expiring contract plus our #1 pick for Wade? Of course they would never do this unless they decided to become Memphis or something.

He's had a couple major injuries, though, that he still hasn't recovered fully from, but it would be nice to see Wade and Lebron playing side-by-side.

I think the Cavs ought to let Z play for Lithuania. He works hard, he's a team player, and he deserves it. Sure there's a risk. But nobody is stopping LBJ from playing for team USA. Z will be a happier player if he's allowed.

I like the first few comments. Vareajo says he won't play for Brazil and instead stay around and work on his game, and it becomes a shit - fest on him. I'm thinking if he said he WAS going to play for Brazil, the comments would be the same.

You're right, they would have been the same. That's because of the crap Varejao pulled before (and into) last season, as well as the crap he displayed out on the court during the season.

Bingo, maybe if he hadnt tried to sabotage his way out of Cleveland last summer by throwing his teammates under the bus, demanding outlandish money for his minimal talents, and hired that life-sized D-bag of an agent, he'd be worth having around.

He's trade material... hopefully.

Totally agree with you on this one. Love his work ethic and love his energy and more than willing to give this guy the time to work on every thing else he can to see what he can do for us next.

Uhh ... it's not the same thing. Ilgauskas' contract isn't covered by insurance due to his past injuries. So if he gets hurt, then Gilbert is stuck paying that ridiculous contract in its entirety, and Ilgauskas is lounging poolside while collecting the checks. It's not smart business. Gilbert is a major league weasel, but one thing he's not is dumb. It's not like when Hughes got hurt long-term, and the Cavaliers were able to get the insurance company to pick up the tab.

Ok, so you just don't like the guy, got it. It has nothing to do with the article or the fact that he isn't playing for Brazil and instead is going to work on his game here in the states. How dare he?! Brittle, I would have expected a little more from you, that's all.
