The Cavs will be fine. I do hope Danny knows what he is doing and despite what Dan G. says, I think the mortgage money crunch has to hurt his pockets.

They need to sign the Wild Thing. They still need a good point guard and consistant shooting guard.

LeBron needs to be working his A$$ off on outside & foul shooting instead of appearing on SNL and being distracted by celebrity. The King was awful on it anyway.

The Cavs are the third best team in the East after Boston and Detroit. Ferry needs to make those changes now, or they won't make the finals again.

Go spend some money Cavs !!!

I'm wondering how much the contracts of teammates contributing significantly less than Andy and Sasha are affecting their respective agents' aspirations. Even if, some are coming off the books soon; so the potential of back-loaded pacts exist.

boston? ha!!!!

they haven't even played one game yet and old man grump has them better than the cavs already. and detroit? are they somehow better than last year? at least they know what it takes to win it all. i'll believe it when i see it with the benchless celtics.

bulls and cavs are the best and maybe detroit if chauncey billips finds his old game.

pavlovic and varajao can play in antarctica for all i care. sasha is promise unfulfilled and the spin move on duncan was enough for me not to want to see sideshow bob again.

Danny is a great guy and he knows what he is doing. The cavs are not a charity organization and will not give money to those who do not deserve it. Sasha was paid for 3 years when he was only warming the bench, he plays for half a year (inconsistently might i add) and now he thinks that he deserve a huge contract? hell no.
Same applies to Andy, we like him and all but he is only a role player, and he will be paid accordingly. If he was worth more why didn't he get it elsewhere.
Danny is building a (San antonio like) team that win games and not a knicks-like retarded charity organization.

Exactly, it would be stupid to overpay Sasha and Andy. I like both players and hope both players come to their senses, but they have no leverage. They can either not play in the NBA (which would be a pretty stupid move on their part) or they can play for the Cavs. Andy wants about 10 million a year! He averages 6 points and 6 rebounds and is offensively challenged. Rumors have the Cavs were willing to pay Andy about 5 million a year for three years. He is getting really bad advice not to take such an offer.
The Cavs will be fine. LeBron will be improved with a more legit mid-range jumper. Gibson is only going to get better. Hughes can only play better than he has in the past. Even though he will never live up to his contract, he is an important part of the team.
I am not worried about Snow who is a class act, but I really hope the Cavs were not counting on many meaningful minutes from him anyhow. True, he is known for his defense, but he can not guard any quick point guards. He matches up better on D guarding a SG.

The Cavs do need another big, someone who is better than Marshall and can fill in for Gooden and Z.

Maybe they could spent a little less on there new training facility and get something done with these guys. That being said Anderson wanting like 65 mil for 5 years is CRAZY. Maybe like 30 for 4 years but hes not worth more than that.

Sasha and Andy need to realize that team must come first. They are important pieces to the Cavs puzzle but holding out doesn't make sense. Get into camp men and show you are worth a bigger contract.

Let me Break This Down for somebody that has alot to say, but nothing of importance

1 LeBron needs to be working his A$$ off on outside & foul shooting instead of appearing on SNL

A- Hasn't Lebron been working on his game ever since he has come out of High School and the past two years he hasn't taken any time off from basketball.

2 They need to sign the Wild Thing.

A--Why..He's a offensive liability and His Basketball IQ is terrible. He brings great energy and can take a charge, but The NBA game is played on both ends

The Cavs are the third best team in the East after Boston and Detroit.

A-- First off they haven't played yet..Second Basketball is about Team chemistry..Last time I checked didn't the olympic team have a bunch of superstar and they sucked. Detroit...How great did they do last year. Third. You never mentioned Chicago which are a true team to Watch.

Go spend some money Cavs !!!

A-- It's quite apparent your knowledge of basketball is non existent. Since there is a cap and the Cavs owe a ton on lame contracts..

In Conclusion don't put out your two cents "old grumpy man" if you don't know what your talking about

The thud we heard was that the Cavs went ito camp a weaker and lesser tteam than last year. The thud was our dropping behind the Celtics who had a great off season. What did the Cavs do? Nothing as usual. Did not strengthen a single position. Still a one man team......his role is both player and Coach. Do we think the Cavs will ever get a coach. Although the need is not acute as long as La Bron keeps coaching and making the decisions. Same old, same old!!!!

I am looking forward to seeing Devin Brown as a Cav. He should offer solid guard play and some added depth if and when Sasha returns. And the 1st round pick traded for a walking contract named Wesley may surprise. Does Sasha really want to play in Europe? News Allert: Compromise takes two sides. Pay attention Anderson and Sasha. Your replacements may have already arrived. Ciao!

You hope Danny knows what he is doing??? You must be a very religious guy, because leaning on Ferry is a leap of faith. Paxson was a dunce, but Ferry's 2 1/4 years of ineptitude has reached epic proportions.

If Brown is so solid, then why can't he stick on a team?
