Shaq, Kobe winners again in All-Star game

Full story: Orlando Sentinel

Shaq danced, Kobe dazzled. And just like old times, they won again. Bryant led all scorers with 27 points, O'Neal partied his way back onto the All-Star stage with 17 in just 11 minutes, and the Western ...

Clearly this whole thing was fixed/prearranged for Kobe and Shaq to be co-mvp's. When Shaq was in the game usually Garnett was out of there and the East just allowed him to have his own little party.

As for Kobe he jacked up a ridiculous amount of shots to get his points.

So basically Dwight was involved in two fix jobs..the slam dunk contest...and the All Star game. I think Jameer got more passes thrown to him during the game than Dwight or Rashard did.

Oh well. It's all about entertainment. Just have to accept it for what it is.

Did anyone else notice KG on the bench late in the 4th quarter when the game became a dunk contest with no defense at all ?

I am pretty sure I saw him say somethink like "man this is b u l l s h i t".

Garnett doesn't even like to lose in these kind of meaningless games. His will to win is to be admired regardless of how a lot of us may feel about him as a player. Hopefully some of that intensity will rub of on Dwight for the rest of the season.

Was it just me or did the whole thing, from the dunk contest to the game itself, seem scripted?

Sooooooooooooooooo.....Not all the excuses are out the window...
Allstar drama is over....

Its time to show up now.
Will the Magic Turn it up again?
We wait and see again.
In all honesty, i'm a little depressed with how the Magic ended before AllStar Wkend and How they performed during the AllStar.
We'll see...

PS, Did you all see how Dooling was hanging out with all the Magic players on the sidelines all the time?
That was umm a little wack.

What happened to the East this year did we bother to show up? It was obviously set up so Shaq could have his last little dance in the All-Star game with Kobe. Oh well its just for entertainment right?

Charlotte will win the game in Orlando tomorrow night. The Magic will come out flat again. It will be just like the losses to Dallas and Denver at home.

Hopefully Rashard got all the misses out of his system in that last round from the 3 point shooting contest.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they had the MVP trophy engraved before the game started.

As for the east, they were just undersized. Dwight would have been the 4th or 5th tallest on the West team.

It was pretty much all guards on the East roster - and one of those was AI. When you don't have time to prepare as a team, height goes a long way. The East had 1 center and 2 power forwards on the roster - and one of those was injured. I mean, RASHARD LEWIS was guarding Shaq much of the night. What more do you need to know?
