Allan Houston has always been a class act. Why would he want to play for the knicks. He should make his comeback attempt with some one like Houston or San Antonio. Furthermore, he has two points not acceptable to Thomas- he has character, and no felony arrests.

Zeke.. Whatever it takes, GET KOBE.. Increase wins, playoff probablity, season ticket sales, jersey sales.. Here's a thought.. Jamal Crawford, Jarred Jeffries, Nate Robinson and yes, Eddie Curry for Kobe, Kwame (expiring contract).. Build around the youngsters.. Keep David Lee no matter what.. Starting five would be;

Kobe Bryant
Stephon Marbury
Randolph Morris
Zach Randolph
David Lee

Bench.. Chandler, Balkman, Houston, Nichols, Collins, James, Rose, Brown

Forget about Kobe wait til next year go after Lebron while he's a free agent better for everyone and steph has a chance to leave the Knicks on top with a ring before he leaves for europe.

Seems like u have some bias to this whole Allan Houston comeback thing, Alan. Funny how out of all the papers in the city u were the only one to report Allan "struggled early with his shot". Every other paper has him making 2 out 3 shots, while the reporters were allowed to view practice. Did you get inside practice before everyone else and witness more misses than your counterparts?

I have stated before whether you or others tend to realize it or not most successful teams have veterans on there bench many that never play.(Look at San An, Miami, Detroit, or even Cleveland) None of them have 7 young players who they are waiting to develop. Maybe that is a coincidence. The Knicks have an abundance of young players and very little leadership. Nichols barring many major injuries will ride the pine for the next 2 to 3 years. Why cant Houston do the same and possibly help mentor many, on a young team. A team of players, with many who have never made the playoffs. Would that be so bad? What would be so good about having another young player on the team that we have to develop? Don't we have enough of them? I like Nichols, but he is the same age as most of the players he is backing up. How do you figure he cracks the rotation? I think San An might be on to something, with their majority veteran team. Isiah is a great evaluator of talent but has shown he can not build a winning team. Maybe that's because he overlooks what the team lacks and constantly adds more of the same. Houston is not more of the same.
