I can understand him serving time for the accidental murder of a co-worker, but can someone explain to me how he is serving time when there are rapists and drug dealers who get off of worse charges with only probation???? I think we might have things backwards.

This man is an addict. Addicts are always punished a lot harder than rapists, drug dealers and other assorted criminals.

Its a shame this happened, a punishment is necessary but this is ridiculous. Punishing an addict does almost nothing at all. They are sick. And they suffer. All from a disease called addiction. All diseases need to be treated.

A more appropriate punishment would be a small jail sentence followed by counseling and lots of community work ... ex ... speaking to school children and adults about the consequences of driving machinery intoxicated.

Thats just wishful thinking ... After all the judges and police and prosecutors ...(the whole damn judicial system) are experts and never make wrong decisions. I'm so glad they maintain fair law and order. HA
