Friction flares in Timberwolves' blowout loss to Hawks

Full story: TwinCities.com

This text is replaced by the Flash movie. Four minutes after the opening tip-off Tuesday at Target Center, everybody on the Timberwolves bench - even club owner Glen Taylor, seated just a few feet from coach Kurt Rambis - sensed it was not going to be the night to celebrate the holiday season.

I find it ludicrous to say that the Wolves have been free of internal problems. Read between the lines; look at the faces; listen to the comments by Rambis; listen to the absolute lack of enthusiasm in the comments of any of the players regarding this new regime.

Let me remind everyone of Al's comments regarding the firing of McHale. Like him or hate him, it is obvious that Al loved playing for him. Heard much from Al lately about anything he's learning from Laimbeer? How about Kevin Love? Hear anything from him that sounds like respect for Rambis and his approach? How about from Rambis regarding how he is responsible for the failures of the team?

I liked the Rambis hire, though I was concerned about the pointedly unenthusiastic comments about his ability by Phil Jackson. But here's the hard truth: Mr. Rambis and his regime seem every day to be more and more the second coming of Randy Wittman. Mr. tough guy, mr. system, mr. blame the players and express frustration.

No free agent with any other options will want to come here: empty building; undesirable location; autocratic blame-spreading coach; downward trajectory. And though some folks take exception to the observation, Minneapolis, especially in January, is a lot less desirable than Madrid or Barcelona.

Dead men walking.

Ha. Hahahaha. Thuggerpups suck, hope they lose every game from now on and leave town. They are a blight on the Twin Cities, and Taylor should hang his head in shame for ever being involved with these thugs. Thuggerpups, get out of town.
