The only way a team with "youthful momentum for the future" (Biedrins, Ellis, Azubuike, Wright, Belineli, Randolph, Watson) would consider such a major trade is when they see themselves shy just one point guard from going to the finals. That's not the case, now. This coming season does not promise a playoff spot for GS, but they are poised to mature into such a team perhaps the following year, and that's how a small market team makes it to the playoffs. The Warriors are in a transition from a 3-point shooting playground team to a serious contender with a half court game and offensive rebounding.

Billups is much better but I still think back to when Jason Terry was hitting big shot after big shot right here in the Pac Ten. Instead of drafting him the Warriors made a trade for Mookie Blaylock at the end of his career. Ouch !! Good young bigs with loads of potential for great older smalls I say only for a championship run. Seacrest Out

If Detroit can get Biedrins straight up for Chauncey then i say do it. Bierdrins would give them the low post offense and defense that they want and Sheed would be able to rotate back over to PF, where i think he'd be more comfortable, for his last season as a Piston.

That would give you a slasher in Stuckey. All around players in Hamilton and Tay. An on the block presence in Bierdrins and a PF in Sheed that face up and extend the defense.
