Nobody on the Knicks is indispensible, nobody!! I will say again that Jamal is a good guy, but he is not a winning ballplayer; he will benefit from Nellie's style of ball because Nellie doesn't win championships. Walsh knows Harrington and may be able to get the best out of him. Does this solve the fact that the Knicks are very soft? No, but it is a cap move and trading Randolph will help, too. Knicks are rebuilding folks. Hopefully Chandler, Nate & Jefferies can blossom as good role players to attract major talent.

For weeks MSG has been advertising 'come watch Chandler and the Knicks' just the week before it was Crawford and Randolph. Wake me when they're done. Why bother to pay attention when a player could be gone next week?

Wow. You all are a bunch of schmucks. While Isiah was here all you people did was b@tch and complain how this team wasn't going anywhere, high priced losers who just flat out stink and now finally we get a GM who has a plan for getting this team under the cap for the first time in since the early 90's and its b@tch b@tch b@tch b@tch b@tch. I am a season ticket holder who has no problems watching a young team lose if it is in the best interest of the team in the long run. The Blazers were in our position a few years ago and did the very same thing. Got rid of the bloated over pain players, lost, and kept getting lottery picks which are all rising stars. I liked Jamal. I did and its sad to see him go but we weren't winning any championships this year or next year so if this gets us under the cap in 2010 then so be it. Its for the greater good. So be a good fan and support the youth while they blossom and you'll reap the rewards in 2 years. Otherwise sell your tickets to real fans and stay home.

Let me help you out seeing as I guess you dont read the news much. Plan B would include Dwayne Wade or Chris Bosh. Either way the Knicks have been a mess and getting under the cap with alot of room to move will be excellent.

Randolph or Curry next I hope!

This year is the first year I have been ecited to be a Knick fan since the Ewing years. We FINALLY have an intelligent plan!

I also read from various papers that its official and the Knicks also Traded Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins to the Clippers for Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley. With the type of year Randolph is having you wonder if Walsh could of gotten a better deal. I know you want to get under the cap for Lebron but I don't think he will want to play for a team that can't compete.

I'm still in a "pinch me, I must be dreaming" mode from Morrow, and now this??? I didn't think we'd get anything of value for AL the way he started the season with his trade talk then the "bad back".

Amilcar in Queens:
It's one thing to watch a "rebuilding" team, but quite another to watch good players thrown under the bus (or onto the bus) just to get future cap space. Win or lose, I still want to see decent basketball.

This is a branding filler. "The Knicks are owned by Cablevision, which also owns Newsday."

This appears is all "Knicks" articles. I'm threatened to stop reading Newsday due to the bias reporting.

I wonder if Knick articles must be proofed by the man?

"The Knicks are owned by Cablevision, which also owns Newsday."

This is his way of saying it's not easy speaking freely lately.

I agree with both trades, it was time to pull the trigger. Now let marbury suit up and let him get his 20 ppg.

Now if they can find a taker for Eddy "Baby Huey" Curry, that would be great. If they can somehow find a sucker/taker for Jerome James, I say hang a banner from the MSG rafters for Donnie Walsh...

The Knicks dumped players who will never win a championship. Now if we can only get rid of Marbury and Curry...

The Knicks have been garbage since the 70's. There's no reason to believe they will improve soon. They have a lousy tradition.

Knicks fans should be use to losing and watching low rated basketball.
