So why we lose against New Orleans if Carlos was starting and Jameer not playing?

We can take a look on the stats:
Jameer is 45,9 FG%, while Carlos is 45 %, Jameer 39,1 % 3pts, while Carlos 34,7.
Arroyo only shot better on the free throw line.
So, if Nelson need to shot 98 for make 20 points, Arroyo need something like 103 shots to make the same.
But surely you would try to convince everyone that the writer is making an effort to move the rim when Carlos is shooting...

I love how people quote stats, but in the long run it does not completely tell the whole story. Like did Carlos play only 2 to 3 minutes for this game or that because a short period like that would completely throw off his numbers.
The numbers game really doesn't work because of the way SVG has been running this game.
What we really know is that this team does not have a great pg with a good backup.
Instead it has two fair pgs with Dooling who isn't a pg playing point.

Philip, I agree with you 100%(and this is not a stat)
I'm aware that the stats didn't always tell the truth, and if you put my post in the contest, you'll notice that I'm only sick and tired of all the Carlos fans that can't respect Jameer.

Loving a player for his place of birth? Can understand it.
Insulting a player only for playing the same role of your favorite guy? Sound STUPID!

I'm italian, and I'm not going in the Raptors site everyday for bashing Nesterovic, nor to supporting Bargnani.

I really like Carlos, and sometimes he makes me believe that he really deserves to be the starter, but other times I look to him playing and I think:żIs this the same guy of the other night or only an actor with a similar face playing basketball for him?

BTW, this is exactly my point of view and what I want to see on the rotation of the team on PG position.

Transform a weakness into a strenght.
We haven't a very good PG, so use this three good players in a smart way.

I agree go with the player who is hot and keep the player who is not hot on the bench.

You forgot another IMPORT stat:

Jameer plays 38 minutes, Carlos Arroyo 15, bottom line, Nelson sucks !

Carlos did not play in the 4th qtr, besides, Dooling took the last play instead of Hedo, THATS why the Magic loose.

If Jameer were playing they were loose by 10.

thats is a diference.
It is too bad you are not cheering for your home boys, you should.

My stats were about % of shots made, that are not affected by the number of minutes played at all.

I'm cheering for my home players, but not bashing the other players in the same position only to make my guy seem better.

This is the difference.

Basketball is a team game, we need both Carlos and Jameer, like the other 13 players on the roster.
