So if I understand your answer correctly he did not attend every practice, he only attended some. Which at best is an arbitrary number.
He is also a writer and has never done coaching of any kind. Did I get that right?
You really do have a reading problem go back to school you troll.
Denton went to most of the practices is what I said.
BTW check with ESPN and find out how many of their "experts" in the NBA that I bet you wait with bated breath what their next pronoucement is going to be actually were coaches. You will find out of the NBA experts maybe one though I do believe it's zero. But I know you bring up some other disclaimer to that.
So as I said begone troll I have had enough of your ..........

Yeah, he looks awesome on the bench. The way he holds the towel. Man, that's All-NBA! SVG plays the Polish dude and not Redick? How bad is he?

Judging from your first post I see your brain power has decreased some more. I didn't know they let brain dead morons post here, but here we are a brain dead moron.
It's the only explanation for posts that are so moronic.

Ok, this Ole Ball Coach guy is getting very annoying. I think Redick should go to the Warriors. His style of play would fit in perfect with their team. Baron Davis would help him get even better.

The lack of brain power is appalling first we had ole ball coach and then informed now we go Mister H three moronic posters. Do any of you have any brains or do just sit on what you have all day. The trolls are really busy. Something tells me that none of you know what trolls are. They are people who post moronic messages on forums just like y'all have been doing.
Lucky for you this forum is more relaxed otherwise you would have been banned because you just don't ..........
Now if you want to read the first article about this topic you would get the correct read on what Redick said.
Not this more nasty title that Brian dreamed up so he could get more play.
So far he has had three titles for one article.
The first one was as close to the truth as it could get the other two titles were typical Brian. I am surprised that the Orlando paper doesn't fire his sorry ass.
It's of no wonder that the Magic players don't trust him to keep to the truth and print just what they say instead he needs to add his own words to make something like this a hell of a lot worse then it really was.
In simple facts Redick wants to stay and play in Orlando that is his goal. He did add that if the Magic won't be able to play him once again just to trade him so he can finally get off the bench and show the rest of the world what he can really do which is to score and yes (haters) play some defense. Some defense is what you find on all NBA teams, and a lot of offense equals a normal NBA team.
Only those who truly hate just because they love to hate will say anything counter to this.
So you go ahead J you have that right to ask to play considering you were lied to by SVG about starting and playing time. This time I hope that the Magic say yes and stick to it otherwise if they don't play you then please trade you. J deserves better then what he has gotten from the Magic.

In fairness to JJ his ability as a college player notwithstanding is not a measuring stick as to his ability to excel in the NBA. Many players are "great" college players that never make the significant impact and certainly players from Duke over the years have had this moniker on them, see Bobby Hurley, Grant Hill, and one of the top players in Duke history Cristian Laettner (sic). However that said JJ has suffered through some major setbacks through injury beginning right out of the gate and it is apparent his skill level may not yet provide the consistent effort required day in or day out. That said only JJ knows the truth of the matter. If in fact it is a case that as suggested a NBA sportswriter "who is watching practice" says in his opinion JJ has shown what it takes I am sure given the deliberate scouting reports every NBA team has on opponents other franchises around the league would try to package a deal with the magic for him, yet nothing has been reported. Therefore, just sit back, the Magic will have to without question make some roster moves this upcoming season. They were exposed in a number of areas during the season and playoffs. In basketball, just remember this, whether your NCAA or NBA you don't win because of your best three players, you win because your 4th through 8th guys are significantly better than your opponents. Otherwise noted its about the level of your depth. The Magic right now have three All-Star caliber players in Howard, Turgo, and Lewis. It should tell everyone what the missing pieces are if you want to contend for the title looking at the remaining teams left that have legit PG's and shooting guards in their top three, as in Paul, Kobe, Parker, Ginobli, Hamilton, Billups, etc. As far as Ican tell based on performance so far Nelson may be a fine backup in the long haul but none of the Magic backcourt has the ability over the long haul to play in the same company as the aforementioned consistently.

i think he can still be a good player in the nba if he goes to a different team. he can sit there and drain 3's all game long. he aint getting enough playing time in orlando. why would they draft a player in the first round and not even play him. they pretty much just wasted the pick on him. i hope he does go somewhere else and does good.

I am a Duke fan & a Redick fan. For the past couple years I have been at game calling for the coach to "Put In Redick!!" or "Put In JJ!!" If you have been to a Magic game in the past 2 years, I am sure you have heard the chant.

I did come to realize something towards the end of this year. I am not sure why he doesn't produce when he gets scrub minutes, but if you can't seem to do the job in scrub time, how do you expect to get quality minutes. Too many times, I have been so happy to see Redick come off the bench, to then be let down when he instantly turns the ball over or fires up a shot & misses. Missed free-throws... unexceptable for such a great shooter. I know people say, "oh he is cold off the bench" & "how can you expect him to produce when he never plays." My answer to that is... Redick is a Professional Basketball player. I am not saying it is easy to produce when playing a very limited role, what I a saying, is that is what JJ has to do [make shots] to get quality minutes with the Magic.

Like I said at the beginning, I am a huge Redick fan & I do believe he could really help the team out if he got more minutes. I think he should have played more the past 2 seasons! But that is no excuse for him talking to the press about calling for a trade if he doesn't get minutes.

My advice to JJ [in order of least importance to greatest]:
-work on your defense [its not that bad, but could get better]
-quit opening your mouth to the media about a trade [see: team player]
-make shots when you get scrub minutes

I think he can do it & I would love for next season to be giving high-five's to people around me at the Magic games when Ridick is draining 3's... simply saying... I told you we shouldn't have traded Redick!!

Thanks for the support I just rated his post as nuts.
Too many people who hate Duke will never accept Redick and these are the ones posting here now in some other forums these kinds of posts would get these trolls banned that is why they are trolling around here.

i agree Nelson is a backup at best. Arroyo should play before he does. at least he would fin people in the proper spots for a more properly ran offense.
NCAA records are nice, but they only prove you were good on that level. JJ Reddick cannot play NBA pace defense. tha is why he does not play.

Yes Nelson is a backup, but so is Carlos another reason the Magic are not resigning him.
Redick (not Reddick idiot)has not played that much so none of us know how he can play in this league, though when he has gotten 15 minutes or more he has done very well on the court scoring and yes even playing defense. Something btw you don't see all that much in the NBA it's all about offense.

Too bad Big Bob didn't real some of the posts here he would have found out that Redick never made any comments to Brian Schmitz demanding to be traded if he didn't play.
To bad Big Bob doesn't read John Denton's articles then he would have read where Redick has no problem shooting the lights out.
So Bob how is your game or is it all here and nothing else to back up what you are saying.
This topic is old and tired and incorrect and should just die and pass away from topix land.
