So do you want the real title of the article before a certain blogger changed the title. This is what was published by the Orlando Sentinel

Orlando Magic guard J.J. Redick expects to return next season

The next day the same writer submitted the same article under the title

J.J. Redick to Orlando Magic: Play me or trade me

Yes everyone it's the same article.
Redick in fact said that he would love to stay in Orlando and play and only if there was no way that they could use him would he ask to be traded.
That is quite a bit different. So before you condemn someone you should have all the facts not the rumors and lies that Brian posts.
Here is another reason that the Magic players do not trust this glorified blogger.
If the Orlando paper were smart they would just fire his sorry ass.

JJ was told last summer he was going to play this year. He didn't play this year. The reason is he can't defend, he can't shoot in comparison to others. The NBA is a really simple league. JJ needs to grow up. Every other team in the league knows his story. He can be traded for a burger and fries.

So I gather you can't read. Yes he was told he would play and the coach's praised him for his great defensive work.(BTW I saved that article)So instead of talking out of your ass about something you know nothing about why don't you just check to see what Denton said about Redick after attending several of the Magic practices where he noted that the best player of all the SG's was Redick.
He also couldn't figure out why Redick wasn't playing either.
So it is something else and not his basketball skills that is keeping off the court for SVG.
I just wish they would let the rest of us into this secret.
One last thing you need to check the other topic about Redick. That was the orginal title of the article, Brian the Brainless from the Orlando paper changed the title it's still the same article.
Redick if you had really read the article said that he preferred to play in Orlando and only wanted to be traded if couldn't find any playing time for him.
Since he is in the business of playing basketball well it makes sense to play or go somewhere else where he can. Not playing has cost him a great deal of money.
But of course your feeble brain didn't think of that either or you wouldn't have posted such a lame post in the first place.

John Denton is now an NBA scout? I didn't realize he was so knowledgeable.

I guess if Denton says JJ is the best player on the court, we should believe him. Perhaps he should be an NBA Asst Coach instead of a beat writer.

Carlos Arroyo's future is not in Orlando... Many will be happy seeing him leave......Carlos is still youngenough to be a potential starter in the NBA. He leaves the Magic with accomplishments on and off the court and his head high.Playing the NBA with 2 players ahead of you(Nelson-Dooling)a Coaches decision and local press insistency and still perform well enough to start and contribute to the team wins was his accomplishement. Jameer and Dooling had their chance against Detroit(less Chancey)and we all know the results... Wish both of them(PG) better results next year with the Magic and we will experience Carlos performance someplace else that really trust his talent and leadership as well as his contribution off the court. We still know that Carlos (if he settles his NBA future in early July)will be a starting point guard internationally with Puerto Rico this summer, where the coaches trust his talent and he can perform true to his abilities.Go Magic and Carlos do not give up as you deserve better.....

In response to both "Informed" your poster name is a joke.
And also to Reality Check John Denton is not a beat reporter he is considered one of the finest NBA writers, he is also the chief sports writer for the NBA for USA Today.
And yes he said something about attending most of the practices so yes I would say he has a great picture of how Redick can play and how well the others match up against him.

So yes it pays to be informed unlike some others.

It's a moot point with JJ.
He wants to play. The Magic want him to sit. He's stuck for 2 more years because of his contract.
I suppose he could drop out and ask the Magic to drop him.
The way Sterns going JJ would be better off in Europe making the big bucks and playing. They even got a big contract for TV and Internet next year!

I'm pretty sure that JJ's agent, Arn Tellem, will have Otis see the light and let JJ go. Hopefully to the Knicks. Just think how many useless Big guys and backups he can get for the Magic! He loves those 10 minute guys like he was!

So if I understand your answer correctly he did not attend every practice, he only attended some. Which at best is an arbitrary number.

He is also a writer and has never done coaching of any kind. Did I get that right?

HE AINT GOING ANYWHERE!!
hahahahah...
Sorry LMAO.
Dont worry...I guarantee you he will be our new MO EVANS or better come next year...You'll see. MO,EVANS will not come back because he'll get a pay raise somehwere...some team will jack up much more than he deserves but because this was his contract year he played his heart out. Arroyo/Bogans/Dooling should be back. PG area will not change but PF/Big area will change drastically.

This is what I mean. Our shooting guard spot has been crowded but then might change soon. I really doubt Evans will come back and Bogans will be packaged.

Otis Smith said that Redick "could easily go from the third guy to the first guy because other guys opt out as free agents. I do think he's a pretty good guard. He's a backup 2 [shooting guard]."

Trade Hedo and our 22nd pick to the Bulls for Tyrus Thomas, Duhon and Bulls number 1 pick. Pick up the best available PG or PF in the draft and move Rashard to the 3. Thats what I would do.

Once again, I would not trade HEDO....He is just a huge mismatch for many....limit him to a sixth man but cant trade that guy. Yes, i know he made some boneheaded plays in critical times but he did a lot for us just to get here.
Either way, he is a great player.
Tyrus Thomas would be huge...but Duhon and 1st pick....seriously??? How?

J.J. Redick is too good to sit on the bench, I mean he holds three records in the NCAA and if you don't play people won't know what J.J. is like in the NBA, Stan honestly play him or just let him go where a coach will give him playing time which he deserves!
