As for the draft pick, let's face it:
If it's this year's pick, it'll be around pick #23. If it's next years, it'll be that or later, hopefully.
And with the team's history of drafting busts and the fact that we actually got a pick right in the last draft, we would have ended up with another bust this time around, anyways.

Sure could have used him last night!!! I think us Magic fans should all get together and send Chris Paul a thank you note for destroying our point guards. Otis was probably on the phone by the end of the 1st quarter!!!
Lol, ya I think that game had alot to do with this trade.

Couldn't ask for much better. Great job Otis and welcome to O-town Rafer!

We just haven't been the same since Jameer went down.

Finally this is available for comment.

Yeaaahhh! Skip, Skip, Skip to my Lou.

Anybody else grow up watching And 1?(the real And1 from the streets..not the commercial stuff) I can't believe Otis and Friends pulled this one off. That's a steal! I'm feeling a lot better about the season now. Oh yeah; we got a solid point guard.

First, Tryonn Lue....Now, Skip to my Lou

The Houston Rockets management never cease to amaze me with trades that make no sense at all.
you got 2 or 3 players not even important enough
for the media to even mention and a draft pick they will probally giving away on draft day for a
another loser. They gave Rudy Gay away...big ass
mistake. They may not even make the playoffs and
if so will be an 8th seed with a even faster first round exit! Very fustrated fan........

Way to go Otis! Great move! This is begining to egt very interesting. If Jameer gets his shoulder fixed and they can pick up a monster PF, I really think it become a matter of heart and x's and o;s for there. This team is starting to look solid for a few years to come.

Here you go guys..........
Otis in a very quiet way comes to the rescue with a super trade.
The real cost a draft pick late in the first round.
Why in the world would Memphis and Houston make this trade?
If any one knows [lease tell us.
A very happy Magic fan......

I'll take it Otis.
Hopefully this move works, cause I was already planning to fly down to Orlando just to throw something solid at A. Johnson. The guy is a joke, I dont know how he still on the league.
He should be getting paid minimum wage for what he does. I rather have Howard covering that position than A.J.

Great job Otis!!- just look at the Houston blogs - they know they got s_rewed!!

Now if Turk (as long as he is here)and Lewis can get back to their true potential and Howard decides to play with intensity we have a chance to finish well!!

im very happy about this trade however my cousin was listening to the radio when this trade went down and he said that washington offered antwan jamison and carron buttler for hedo and jj and otis said no if that is true as much praise as otis gets for bringing skip to my lue (which honestly is the best deal he could of made) if he did actually turn down washingtons trade that was a blunder move

Steven A Smith made the same comment. And he NEVER has anything positive to say about the Magic (other than Dwight).

I wouldnt worry about the draft pick. This years draft looks thin and the Magic are going to have on of the top five records in the league, which will be a low first round pick. Good trade Otis.

This is great news. Alston is a true playmaker, more so than even jameer. I think the team is still a long shot to get to the eastern conf. finals, but the odds got a lot better after this trade.

The guys on tnt just said they thought we might be better with alston than even Jameer because he makes more plays for others. I dunno about that but, hopefully they are right.

The crew at TNT just said it was a good trade for the Magic. Kenny Smith said "this puts Orlando ahead of Cleveland now".

Reefa can push the ball up the court and get the Magic a lot of easy baskets.

This should perk the team back up. And now they have some depth on the bench with A.J. and Lue.
