Good signing! For the last roster spot a
Alexander Johnson, Brian Skinner or
Charles Oakley would suffice. My
starting five:
Howard
Lewis
Hedo
Ariza
Dooling

that's actually the smartest starting five that we have, i'm sure they'll start nelson for some reason or another, even though he's probably more effective off the bench. the only thing i'd change is starting someone like foyle or battie instead of hedo, so dwight can play PF, hedo is a great off the bench player as well.

PG is a midget
SG is a committee of scrubs
redick the savior? lol. his shot wont fall every night
dooling is a scrub. there's a reason miami let him go then won the championship the season he signed here.
arroyo? strictly here for ticket sales.
nelson? still not enough of a playmaker. dont know if he wants it bad enough. he talks the talk. but that's about it.
hope us magic fans enjoy our tandem of rashard and dwight....if its any consolation. In NBA live and NBA2k7, Rashard with the magic is a beast.

Well this is a pleasant surprise. I did not think we had a chance of signing him for this little money. Otis is doing a good job at improving this team every year. He keeps adding key pieces and he has done well. Orlando could be a 50+ win team this year if they stay healthy. I will not post a starting 5 yet because I think Otis will stay make at least one more move before the season starts.

This would be my best 5

Nelson
Hedo
Ariza
Lewis
Howard

We would be big except for Nelson and pretty good on the defense, but I know this will not be the starting 5. I think JJ and Battie will start.

Such an odd post, you rip the team apart, but your name is "Magic 5th in the East" which is a fairly nice improvement over last year. I know I'd be happy with 5th.

Btw, Dooling is a sound defensive player, definitely the best defensive guard we have... The Heat won 59 games with Dooling on their team and would have beat Detroit had Wade not been injured. You make it sound like Dooling was what was holding them back.

Oakley was never really that good but most of the other 5's knew not to get in his way...and I guess I'm as old and creepy as a 25 year old can be

Hedo is too slow to play the 2... he will have t o defend the Kobe's, Gilbert's and players like that...The woud be to slow to keep up with the Nuggets or Warriors of the west.
I tried figuring out a lineup but it is too difficult! This is a versatile roster but some players are not proven!

They will give Jameer the benefit of doubt since this time around he will not have to try and score much like he had to before. Rashard lewis can pick up much of a scoring. Jameer can concentrate on being a pure PG this time. So they will let him start but i'm sure SVG will not beat around the bush if jameer starts being too inconsistent. Dooling will be paying close attention especially since him and SVG are pretty close.

I doubt HEDO will start....I think so far JJ is our starting guard after Hill left and his solid performance this offseason. JJ will start for now unless his play says somethign else. Besides, Hedo is much better off the bench and doesnt mind coming off it.

Well...the bottom line is that Foyle will give us the defensive presence that we need in teh middle. Our offense should not be a problem with Rashard/Howard and especially if JJ kicks in. As far as the numbers goes...Oak Tree is 42yrs old while Tin foyle is 32 and pretty athletic upfront.
With a Vet. Min., A GREAT Freaking Pickup!

And I doubt OTIS is done yet!

Very true. Otis has done a good job so far. Even though i'm not happy about how the Darko situation got out of hand but I doubt that was OTis' fault. Regardless, I doubt Otis is done and i beleive he will make a move or 2 very soon in teh coming wks as the training comes close.

Foyle will be good to pick up fouls on Shaq, thats about it. We need someone who can pass. There is no one on the roster that can make plays for others. that will hold us back from being a top team in the east.

JJ and Nelson in the backcourt? That will be like a layup drill for the other team.
