We should have gone after Nenad Krstic. His now doing really well for the Thunders and his a legitimate 7 footer who could hit shots from mid range which would be a perfect compliment to Howard's game. Dang!

Cleveland just won again in Miami. I was hoping they would finish in the number 2 spot so the Magic would face them in the second round..assuming of course they get out of round 1, which they won't if they face the Pistons.
If Cleveland finished at number 1 then Boston will finish in the 2nd spot. No chance for the Magic to go up or down. They will finish 3rd in the East.
Boston will then make a joke of the Magic in the second round in 4 or 5 games.
Like I have said all along folks...you will have a .500 caliber team heading into the playoffs who will get knocked out by either Detroit or Boston.
The best chance for the Magic would be to avoid these two teams. It's their only chance of getting to the Finals.
Jim for Gods sake give it a rest.
Is to early to figure where we will end.
You never know they could pull a miracle. Lets see how they do against the Suns.

Here is some hot Info. from Hoopshype

Before the Rockets sent Rafer Alston to Orlando at the trade deadline, there was a deal on the table that could have sent Clippers guard Baron Davis to Houston for Alston and Ron Artest, according to an NBA source. Originally, the Rockets wanted Clippers center Marcus Camby but Los Angeles declined. The source said the Rockets' loss of Tracy McGrady to a knee injury just before the trade deadline killed the trade conversation with the Clippers. An NBA source said that if the Magic hadn't acquired Alston, they would have attempted to trade for suspended Indiana guard Jamaal Tinsley. Tinsley is not expected to get waived by today's deadline, which means he wouldn't be eligible to play in the playoffs for a team that acquires him

Robert you of all people should know better. You seemed like you have a lot of insight and knowledge regarding this Magic team.

With this team you can never get your hopes up too high. You must keep the expectation level low.

As for the game against Phoenix that will be like an All Star game with very little if any defense.

We've got it, Jim. Magic always lose. Nothing it gets it done. Their record isn't real. The wins don't actually count but the losses do.

Can you now just disappear until next year or until you have something else to say?

Besides, if your predictions on their record is as accurate as your day to day predictions I hope all of the players know their ring sizes.

Sir I hope you are not implying that I am always negative when it comes to the Orlando Magic. That can not be farther from the truth.

I am probably the most positive person in here. If you look back at my comments you will see that I offer up the most consistent support here.

Nothing I have said is in any way negative. You need to do your homework sir. Examine the facts before you utter your foolishness.

<quoted text>why bother looking anything up on him? he's not coming here. and i just found out that the suns will probably be getting stromile swift. So all the bigs that were waived, with the exception of foyle, are headed to teams not named magic. the suns also may resign courtney sims, one of the dominant bigs to come out of the d-leagues two weeks ago. magic better go for hendrix or richard and NOT old man foyle.
takin a guess you got that info off of realgm.com depending on who you read i hear that the magic are lookin at gooden right now. the celts did ruin their chances of getting joe smith by going after moore and not waiting. but if that fails id go with either hendrix, jones or chris richards.
