"We need to put together some win streaks if we want to be an elite team at the end of the season. We can't keep going win, lose, win, lose" ... Rashard Lewis

No *h*t. Talk is cheap. Let's see you and your team mates go 4-0 over the next four games.

Like the poster in my room says "I WANT TO BELIEVE".

If we could get Gooden then that would totally be awesome but according to reports he could be heading to the Spurs. If not Gooden then we should go after Stromile Swift whom the Nets just waived. I know his not as good as Gooden but he is athletic and can man the middle as well.

Gooden is a must pickup for the Magic if we wanna bang down low with Cavs and the Celtics half court game in the playoffs. He's got size, can rebound and has a decent jump shot. Otis make it work!!!!

I'm so glad that these two have seen the bigger picture. I don't know if it took SVG to get it out of them, but these two are our Achilles heel.

If they don't play well (shoot well) then we lose. We shoot too many jumpers as it is. We squeaked out a few wins this past week, but we could have lost those games very easily. Let's just hope it was the fact that we have had a lot of back-to-backs the last couple of weeks.

Hopefully once we get a little more rest we will play better (shoot better); however, there are a few ppl that post here that have said:“the more rest we get, the worse we play.” I guess it's going to be up in the air, but it will be good to have some of that time off so we can get some practice in with Rafer.

Watced the celtics and piston game yesterday. during the game, sheed made a pretty physical play on rondo and put him on the ground. it wasnt a dirty play, it was sheed being sheed and being pshyical. after it happened, you saw pierce jawing with sheed calling him out.

my point of that story is who on the magic would jaw with anyone on any team if they were rough with any of us? Howard? Hedo? Lewis? We're a soft team ... period!

Howard has no low post move and against pistons only touched the ball 12 times! 12 times!!! It wasnt like we were hitting from the outside so why not go to him. I know .. he has no low post move.

Gooden, Swift, whomever it doesnt matter. Until Howard has a go to move that when the shots arent falling we can feed it to him and he can punish them we aint going anywhere. I've seen this movie too many times.

And please spare me the superman crap and the numbers he puts up against Okafor or any team that doesnt matter. Magic suck.

Aron, I'm one of those guys that say we play better back to backs....but after RAFER coming in, we do need some some practise time with him so that would be different.
3-4days rest is too much for this team.
They always come out dead and lazy.

Those two are a couple of 6'10" skinny 3 point shooters that if they are not making 3's they totally suck, can't drive, can't rebound, turnover machine softees.

"Stone Hands" Howard will never change...he can jump and he can dunk...other than that he is not an athlete, no finesse whatsoever he can be pushed around at will by the better teams.

I'm dreaming the Pistons come in 6th in the east...if you get my drift, LOL.

I was one of those that felt getting Alston was going to put us over the top. Now after a few games, I'm not so sure. I have not been a nelson fan until this season, and I see where he makes a difference for this team with his recent play-pre injury. Our team is a shooting team. Usually one of major players puts up good numbers...either Hedo, Lewis,or nelson. One of them gets hot. Now we are only down to Hedo and Lewis and they are struggling. Rafer is not a shooter. Then...we lost Bogans who used to start or come off the bench after Lee. Now we have JJ who is not a good a player as Bogans (ask any coach who has had both of them). Having a guy like Drew (if possible) at the 4 may affect D12's numbers but it should help the team overall especially since we now have a passer like Alston. Lewis can then move to his natural position.

Howard does need to look at some Shaq tapes and see how to pass out of the double team. I'm tired of seeing him try to take on 2-3 ppl. Someone has to be open!

I highly doubt that Stan would put in Drew as a starter, if that's what you mean. That considering he was waived... You don't just waive a starter.

We need to be realistic. Gooden and Smith were bought out, so they could play for serious contenders. Since nelson went out, our team is considered to be at the bottom of the best teams (if that, since we're now .500 team). Those two guys will not want to come here, they have no incentive at all. Think about it, why pass up the best odds to play in the finals to play for a team with one of the least odds?

We will either pick up foyle since he was waived too and knows how our team plays (not a fan of him), or stromile swift... who was also waived.

ha shaq responded to bosh's allegations that shaq only scored 45pts against the raptors because he was camping in the lane....
After Chris Bosh suggested that Phoenix center Shaquille O'Neal benefited from the refs ignoring the three seconds in the lane rule, the Arizona Republic is reporting that Shaq has responded.
"I heard what Chris Bosh said, and that's strong words coming from the RuPaul of big men," O'Neal said. "I'm going to do the same thing (in their next meeting) I did before - make him quit. Make 'em quit and complain. It's what I do."
I hope dwight howard gets a hold of this news and unleashes the fury on shaq... as you all know, bosh is dwight's best friend in the league...

I know what you mean, but he was averaging 13 pts and 9 rbs/gm. Not bad. He could start in some games or even if he came off the bench Lewis could still move to his natural 3 position. we do need another power forward high energy type player.

Watch shq and howard breakdancing on the court together while Shaq makes fool of him.
Then Howard will say, "its all about Fun man...we gotta have fun man"

Agree'd, been saying this all year long; however, need more of a bruiser, but if this is what we have on the table, we may as well take it.

Drew Gooden and Joe Smith have been released. I hope we try for one of them before bringing back Foyle.
