When Augustine played he exhibited way too much enthusiasm. Good team player. Not Otis's kind. Foyle is not relevant. Magic still need a god PG and PF. Not to mention GM.

Rockets picked up Artest for a bag of peanuts. Combine Artest with Lewis, Dwight and Jameer and we'd talking ... but Foyle ... What a STUD!

Yeah right peanuts. They gave up a future 1st round pick, their 1st round draft pick of this year, a starting quality PG, cash and the player they are getting wants a max contract on a team that has two max players already. So if they cant sign him, then what?? I guess Houston will have to trade MacGrady so they can give Artest a max contract. Sounds good to me. Does it to you??? You really think that is peanuts???

HEY LMAO, here is what the Detroit Free Press had to say about Kwame Brown. And you think Otis was stupid for not trying to sign him.
The Pistons are about to sign former No. 1 overall pick Kwame Brown, and I think a lot of fans are scratching their heads on this one. Some are scratching as hard as they possibly can in an attempt to remove their brains. They don't particularly care for Brown. Ah, who am I kidding? They hate him and everything he represents. They think he was handed NBA millions before he earned them, that he copped an attitude when things didn't go his way, that his talent was overrated when he went No. 1 overall, and that he set the Wizards and the Lakers back with his mere presence. Broad strokes more fine detail here. Broad strokes is that it was a mistake to give Jameer an extension before he had proven he can take this team to the next level, and it was a major mistake to give Rashard 6 years when he would have taken 5 at 85 mill. No other team was even remotely offering that kind of money. Point being is that we're crippled to ever add another quality guy. I'd rather have Artest over Hedo (hedo is gonna ask for Max money next year too)- where will we get it.

NanningBob,

You know how LMAO is. If the Magic had signed him, he would have talked about how stupid a move it was...and how Detroit would have never signed such a lame player as Kwame. lol!

Bob, Bob, Bob...You must consider "reading" my posts. I said that Dumars made a pretty decent decision with Brown simply because he's another 7' Big Body that can come in and beat up and foul Dwight 6 more times.
Based on the "Hack a Howard" premise with Dwights 50% or less foul % it just means Detroit has gained another advantage over the Magic.

Besides, if anyone can get the most out of Brown it will be Curry and Dumars.

The attitude that is expressed in the article sounds to me about the same that Shag adopted plus a plethora of other players, one of which will eventually be Dwight Howard.
Just hang on...he's gonna get tired of Orlando and the BS of VanGundy & Otis. Then the pooopeeey hittee the fannee!

Hahahahaha! Wrong again Mikey!
I actually pointed out that Brown was available and if cheap enough worth a shot with the Magic...he couldn't have been much worse than Foyle (ya think?)

cant really say that about james he didnt improve much. its sad otis is just signing older guys. now i here he is after quinn WHAT ABOUT TAUREEN GREEN WHY GO AFTER A PLAYER WHO BEING TARGETED BY OTHER TEAMS THEN A PLAYER WHO'S NOT. of were scrapping for cash waive jj as well. that give us some damn breathing room besides the kid's earning a few mill for doing absoultely nothing its a waste of time and space and money. and we missed out on get a few bigs because our concern is a third pg. kame is gone ( but otis probably would have overpaid him), randoplh morris is gone and he would have been a cheap pick up too. look there is probably a bunch of undraft rookies you can choose or d-leaguers. i like foyle he's a good guy but he's old and overwieght. why cant we fire otis already he's over paid rashad lewis and jameer nelson. hasnt made any trades to bolster up the squad in a now competitive east. if he's so serious about getting critteton make a good offer. but at least hurry up with it.

Sorry, you are dead wrong about the Rashard deal. He was being offered max money by other teams, we just added an extra year to get him. 85 Mill and we would not have signed him, he would have gone elsewhere. You are dead wrong on that one.

If Otis hadn't signed Jameer to a contract we would not have any PG now. Jameer despite some flaws is still a decent PG, however, I do agree he is a very good backup PG, or an average starter.

Sometimes when you guys are so negative about something you fail to see the alternative. Without Rashard we are a 40-45 win team. With him we are are 50-55 win team. That is what he brings to the Magic.

Without Nelson we dont have a starting PG. Sorry but Dooling and Carlos are not starters. They are good backups. Nelson is the best of the 3 backup PG that we have. Even though I am not sold on Nelson, he is improving every year and I give him credit for that. I dont bury him so deep in my negative thoughts that he will never get a chance. I recognize he could become a decent starter but because of his size I dont think he will ever be a great starter.
