Chicago Bulls 113, Philadelphia 76ers 99

There are 20 comments on the Apr 9, 2009, Chicago Tribune story titled Chicago Bulls 113, Philadelphia 76ers 99. In it, Chicago Tribune reports that:

It's a good thing Philadelphia's Spectrum is being torn down this fall. After the Bulls lost a taut game in the closing seconds there March 13, Vinny Del Negro almost unhinged a coach's office door with a vicious slam, his frustration palpable as his team dropped eight games below .500 for the first time since Jan.

D Rose is flat out unguardable. He is the wildcard and the reason I am so optimistic about the playoffs. He can get his teammates wide open shots. The team is playing better defense and I liked the way the team pushed the tempo.

Derrick Rose's court vision is unbelievable....this win, however, was an all around team effort. I've been reading all this nonsense about how Rose shouldn't get the ROY because his numbers aren't as great as some other rooks. That's BS. Rose may not have the same number as Lopez or Mayo...but he's not on a team that's lottery bound either. Rose is ROY hands down. And as far as rookie coaches...I don't think that Vinny is doing that bad of a job. Yes, he's doing idiotic things...but the key word is ROOKIE. You can't argue him being THAT bad when he guides a lottery team into the playoffs.

Hopefully Paxson is able to resign Gordon at a reasonable amount. It does them absolutely no good to have him walk away with nothing in return. The Bulls need as many good players as possible, Who knows what Luol will do next year after two subpar years. Guys like Nada are so obsessed with Gordon that they blame him for everything including the Sox's lousy play. Gordon is in the top third of SG in assists and rebounds well for a SG including tied for top rebounder tonight. There is good chemistry with the guys they have now. Gordon appears to be respected by his teammates and coaches as evidenced by their comments on summaries of games by the ESPN website. KC says he is a player with unique talents and would be hard to replace.

This team is playing like a 4-5 seed and can do well in the playoffs. Beware the league next year....

Gordon is going to leave this summer. He wants to play 48 minutes a nite. I hear turkey has an opening....

This was a good win; although the entire country could have done without that Miller and Gray frontline in the second quarter. There were a lot of good efforts that contributed to the win, as the earlier blogger suggested. The team needs to shore up the defensive details as Andre Miller was getting free by slidding along the baseline.

Salmons for President.

Miller for VP.

Whatever it is, it is coming together and it is fun to watch.

Its amazing, give a coach better players and all of a sudden he is a better coach. The NBA is a players' league.

Derrick Rose, I mean Christ, how GOOD is that kid? That one play where he got the rebound then took it coast to coast was incredible. Can we sign him to like a 25 year contract a la Magic Johnson? Seriously though, tonight was a great sign for the future of this ball club. Yes, they will get clobbered by the Celtics in the playoffs, but it will be good for Rose to get that experience in his rookie season. Anyhow, I can't fault Vinny too much, hes done the best he can with the talent he's been given. As a city we should all come together and just appreciate the genius that is Derrick Rose.

Great win against a playoff caliber team. In the east anyway. I really give this team and coach a lot of credit for all they been through this season and yet can finish .500 and make the playoffs. I think the bulls might give their first round opponent fits, especially if they happen to steal a road game. win free cubs/sox tickets on cubbiefans.com

Great team effort tonight. D. Rose was dishing out assists left and right and would of had at least 10 more if the guys would have hit their open jumpers.
Go Bulls all the way!
PS- Anybody know what Sefolosha is up to these days? Great trade anyways.

I think the Bulls match up pretty well against the Celts. I wouldn't be surprised to see them make the second round.
