Bulls afternoon games always have had a different, quieter feel to them. The crowd is more family-oriented, less beverage-enhanced. Yet the United Center could have passed for a library for much of Wednesday's ...

I'm sorry but Del Negro needs to go the guy is a moron. Gray shouldn't even be starting, on any other team he's a 2nd or 3rd string center. Hunter shouldn't even play. Stop taking out Derrick Rose when the Bulls are getting a lead or start to get killed. Del Negro also likes to take out Gordon and Rose both. So the Bulls have two scorers in Hughes and Noc, that's it. Paxson looks the a moron for signing Deng to a long contract when Gordon is the legit scorer on this team. Also drafting Noah was simply brilliant, when he is horrid on offense. Sign Ben Wallace and then trade Chandler. When they both are the same player but Chandler is the younger player with much more upside. Oh but then lets trade Ben Wallace, we get JR Smith who is a legit shooter but let's trade him for nothing. Just because your a winner in college that doesn't matter when it comes to the NBA. Paxson needs to get over the putz from Duke and Florida. They don't amount to anything in the NBA. If anything you take it from the powerhouse UNC. I love the Bulls but can't stand this coach or some of the roster.

So my wife, teen daughter, and two cousins go to this game, spend for tickets, parking, concessions, etc...on their annual girl's game trip, and the PLAYERS DO NOT even show up????

Ben Gordon stole $78,000 in just this game. Let alone, the others!

Shame on the Bulls 'players'! Shame!

This is just an example of the over-paid, young players of today. There used to be a few of these players, now, there are far too many. They have no respect for anyone. They need to be shown that if they cannot be professional then the money and the attention goes away. Gotta start rewording the contracts. This goes for all sports, not just basketball. The players have more power than the coaches. Not good! Fix it.

Del Negro has lost the team. The college of coaches makes for more confusion. Many of the players are self-absorbed and lazy. How did all this happen? I love John Paxton as a player, but he is mis-cast in the GM role. Jack up Rose and drive a new team under him.

Go ahead Pax keep sitting on your hands as ANOTHER season goes down the drain. What makes it worse is the fact were wasting D-Roses first season. We dont all live forever Johnny Jumpshot, please start fixing this team. There a few of us Bulls fans left.

4 tickets $440, parking $20, 4 bottled waters, popcorn and pretzel $26. I can't tell you how upset and disappointed we were with the Bulls lack of performance and effort on Wednesday against Orlando. I was robbed with the lack of effort and hustle by those thiefs. I will take my family to high school basketball games were they play fundamental basketball, I haven't looked at their shooting % for the game but it was brutal, run a play other then pick roll, kick out and shoot three pointer brick, the entire league knows the Bulls sad routine, never again Bulls will I attend! I'll attend 75 high school games for the $500 I donated and teach my kids proper basketball, not this garbage!

Enough with the complaining about the "players nowadays". Did you really expect the Bulls to beat arguably the hottest team in the east? They got their butts handed to them. Do you think they don't know it? Anyone who thinks that Ben Gordon isn't a competitor (especially in a contract year) hasn't watched a game this year. Not making excuses. Just saying you had to know when you got there that the bulls were probably going to get smashed. So while you are teaching your kids proper basketball try to work in a lesson about perspective and balance. Maybe teach them that what was really special was the time you spent with them not the $ you laid out.

If there are rules and the players dont keep them and then grumble or complain about it, dump 'em. Hughes seems to have a problem most everywhere he plays and he thinks because he makes 12M/yr he should play by other rules??? Noah, this is the second time he has been associated with complaining about stuff and Thomas has never grown up. Tell them all to go home and don't come back. If you cant trade them then they sit and "earn" their money without playing.

Anyone who thinks that Ben Gordon isn't a competitor (especially in a contract year) hasn't watched a game this year. Take off your rose colored glasses, throwing up 3's when double covered, not playing defense and unable to get in a teammates face does not make Gordan a "competitor", just waiting to get out of town.
Not making excuses. Just saying you had to know when you got there that the bulls were probably going to get smashed. Actually no I didn't, but the Bulls played like they were thinking the same thing you were.
So while you are teaching your kids proper basketball try to work in a lesson about perspective and balance.
Thanks for your words of wisdom, I'll also teach them about why the Bulls fans were booing the slugs during most of the game, were you at the game, did you see something different?

Funny you should mention "Rose" colored glasses. Because with Derrick as his backcourt mate Ben's play has been a lot less suspect when it comes to shot selection. He's been the teams best offensive threat for over three seasons. He's been a professional in terms of coming in to camp after accepting the qualifying offer. He's not a thug or a knucklehead off the court. So he (and everyone else on the team by the way) has a bad night. Which if you read the article he actually owned up to. Sounds a little bit like accountability and leadership for a guy "just waiting to get out of town". lol. How many games over his time in Chicago has Ben Gordon been great as a scorer? Plenty. How long has everyone, fans and media alike, recognized that the team needs an inside prescence to be really competitive? I'm a Bulls fan. I hate it when they lose. But I realize they need to change to get better. And I don't think it's a change in attitude or era. They need a star player in the paint. Period. So knowing this I don't go bananas when they lose to a better team. I hope they overachieve and get 'em the next time.

I get it you were dissapointed. They lost. Badly. But in a season of 82 games in what may be the most demanding team sport at the highest level, it happens. And if you didn't know they were outclassed by the Magic (featuring Dwight Howard) you were probably surprised by them getting smoked by the Cavs and Lebron tonight. I'm just saying that they didn't purposely wait for the date where you and your family decided to attend to tank a game.

With that said. Hey it's just my opinion. You're entitled to yours. Happy New Year! Peace!

You bring up some real good points, yes they need inside amd low presence and to a certain degree had some but traded, this will be Paxson'e last year unfortunately, this is the team he brought in, it's a shame that 20 months ago they were riding high and talking about another dynasty. Deng is completely out of site, Hughes leads the team in complaining about lack of floor time, Gray fouls every time someone is within 3 ft. of him. I would keep Rose, Gordon, Nocioni, Sefalosha and maybe Hinrich, these are the only players that will take a charge. I did watch the Cleveland game, how many times did Lebron drive baseline, draw double coverage and pass to teammate cutting in lane for lay-up uncontested, that is just lack of awareness or lazyness, if I can see it, what does DelNegro and his big $$ staff see. Happy New Year to you also, hopefully we'll get a trade for a big man. Go Illini!
