Blaney is a better coach. It's bizarre that the press lays off Calhoun as far as coaching capability. I don't think he sets up plays well and yanks players way too fast. Yeah, 2 championships, but he has too many off years. Legend in his own mind. Thabeet played like a stiff. What would Chamberlain have done to this guy while in college? I just don't think Thabeet has been handled properly. He's a great athlete, per se, but there's still some project there. Stay, Thabeet, it will be worth millions for you later on. Take anger management classes, so you can get angry and perform better. It's the last time I'm telling you this. You need tons of work.
I'm sure he needs advice from a pathetic blogger.

Thanks for reminding me the level of ignorance of sports fans out there. Looks like we have another "expert" "monday morning quarterback" out here.

I am not sure whats worse, winning without grace or losing without it. I love these guys who seem to know more then folks with years and years of expiernece in the business. ESPN commentators, etc., etc. Bottom line is they just cry like little babies and need someone to blame when they get beat. Ohhhh grow up man..

The ignorance here is just amazing.. Yeah, Calhoun needs money, thats the only reason he is coaching. Not to mention the fact that he's been able to retire and live like a king for multiple years, but keeps coming back.
With fans like you, who the hell needs rival teams or rival fans? If the team is so bad you cry baby find another to watch.

The bottom line to this lose is.......
Calhoun was out coached. Izzo did what he had to do in the second half by pulling (hack) Adrien out past is limit! This guy has gotten no better in four years! He still can not shoot free throws and he is limited as far as range and game.(Is undependable!)
Thabeet is (NOT) ready for the NBA.He has almost no offense. Something surprised me, but didn't surprise me on what Calhoun said midway through the season. "I'm trying to make you millions of dollars". Well we can see what Calhoun's priority is!(MONEY) Well money isn't everything in life. The main concern is having good skills first!(Undependable)
AJ Price is just an average guard. When we really needed him, he didn't show up. I personally think the kid should of been off the team after the lap top situation. Another undependable!
Austrie, this guy has been a disappointment all year! A waste of space during this game. Six points, disgusting.(VERY) undependable!
As far as Calhoun goes, I was tired of him about 4 years ago. It's time for him to go! Yes he built a great program and thank you for that, but it's time to go!
Izzo figured out and knew how to stop Uconn. Calhoun's stubborness about not changing things up is way..... stale! We need a fresh new coach. I would love to see Mr Blaney coach take over. No yelling screaming and making yourself look like a total ass near the bench.
The bottom line was: NO GOOD PLAYERS DOWN LOW (except for Robinson) The kid played his butt off. NO(DEPENDABILITY)!
THE BACK COURT WAS UNDEPENDABLE also GRANTED PRICE SHOWED UP THE FIRST(4) GAME OF THE TOURNAMENT. WHERE WERE YOU FOR THE 5TH?
NO PURE SHOOTERS: NO 3 POINT SHOOTERS! YOU CAN NOT WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP WITH 1 SO/SO 3 POINT SHOOTER.
OH.......... THE FREE THROWS......
AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO PUSHING THE BALL UP THE COURT? ALMOST AFTER EVERY DEFFENSIVE REBOUND THEY WALKED THE BALL UP THE COURT LIKE THEY WERE IN REVERSE GEAR! 22-10 FAST BREAK POINTS? HORRIBLE!
I've been saying it for 5 plus years now. You will not win a championship with no 3 point shooters or just one, poor free throw shooting and average big men underneath. And STILL.... nothing has changed!
It wasn't a bad season, but certainly a DISAPPOINTING SEASON!
