Chattanooga's actual basketball graduation rate: 34%

Chattanooga's overall student athlete graduation rate: 53%

UConn's overall student athlete graduation rate: 81%

And Chattanooga doesn't have the defense that their players are leaving early for the NBA

You don't wanna awaken a sleeping giant, no you don't! Chattanooga may have just done that today. Look out for UCONN!

doesnt seem like the people complaining about the large margin of victory even watched this game. I was lucky enough to be there and ut-chatt was missing everything ..(box score shows they shot 26% from the field).. Uconn is a running team off of turnovers and missed shots and when a team misses almost 3/4 of the time, you can bet your a*s*s they're gonna push the ball up the floor, not walk it up so they can run a set. Uconn is not Duke and never has been. They use their athleticism and speed (and recruiting!) to win games, not calhoun's offensive sets. The fact that one guy is gonna stop giving $$ to the university over this one game shows that you haven't been paying attention for quite a long time..

By the way -- mandeldove? yikes.. guy airballed a 4-foot hook shot. but hey, he's got an 0-1 in the official ncaa tourn. record book now!

By "normal" you mean European? I didn't know Archie Bunker frequented these boards: "Tory, Feldman, O'Reilly, Nelson... That's an Italian, a Jew, an Irishman, and a regular American there... what I call a balanced ticket."

I am writing in support of the view that there was absolutely no need for UConn to run up the score today. I am a big UConn fan. I give a donation to the university in the four figures every year. But I was embarassed by the lack of class and sensitivity today. With 5 minutes to go in the game and UConn up by 40 points, they still had their regulars in. Yes, Calhoun brought a tradition of winning to the university. But he also brought baggage which we have been witnessed to this year. My money was not well spent today, and UConn will not get another dime! Not one dime!
Keep your money you self righteous a$$. Coming into this years NCAAs, UConn was on a 2 game losing streak on top of no post season wins in I don't even know how long. UConn played well and I think rediscovered some chemistry and confidence lost over the last 2 games, not to mention the loss of Dyson. The confidence is obviously coming from Stanley Robinson. His recent emergence has transformed this team and he seems to now believe that he is capable of great things.

A previous poster was spot on about the 2 bigs needing to pass out.

Next year's team will be quite scary with Robinson and Dyson both clicking. One upside to the timing of Dyson's injury is that it came earlier in the season the AJ's. He will have more time to recover and build up his form. I look forward to seeing Ater Majook (sp?) and Gavin Edwards hold down the paint and KW running the offense. Preseason #1.

Let me guess, you are also one of those morons that thinks America should do away with the grading system in schools as well. Because the feelings of those that don't get all A's or a 4.0 cum will be hurt.

And you probably think that little league baseball games should not keep score either because, of course, having a team of kids lose at a sporting event shows no sensitivity.

Get a life you clueless ignoramous.

Maybe the next time you get a huge bonus at work for busting your butt on a project you will give half of it to a co-worker that got nothing because he/she didn't have as good a year on the job as you. Because, after all, you wouldn't want them to feel bad now would you ?

You are an obvious Obama voter who thinks that everyone should strive for mediocrity instead of excellence and let government just divy up the wealth equally among all of us.

You are the definition of stupid.

The Huskies took care of business and showed they are at the tournament to dominate! Now the next opponent will not roll over as easily so continue to roll off screens like Rip Hamilton and take that open 15 footer. The Huskies must stand shoulder to shoulder with the great players who have come through the program. Names like Ray Allen, Jake Voshkul, Kevin Freeman, and yes Cliff Robinson the first player to go pro from Uconn. These players all displayed a workman like ethic in dispatching opponents and playing within themselves. this team is ready to claim their place in history! The time is now the moment is here!

Adrien has been in a free-throw shooting slump lately and Austrie has been in a flat-out shooting slump. These weaknesses were not exposed against Chattanooga, but that won't be the case in future games -- especially once they reach the Sweet 16. Hopefully, both players will snap their dry spells and return to form.

Unfortunately, the CBS feed out of Boston only carried the game until UConn was up by 12. Then it switched to the Maryland game (they seem to think Boston is ACC country now, though I haven't heard many Southern accents up here).

Most encouraging is Stanley. If he can remain consistently aggressive and Thabeet and AJ stay on their games, this team should make a deep run into the tournament. Don't expect a blow out vs. Texas A&M tomorrow, though. Expect UConn's D to bring A&M's 57% shooting (vs. BYU) back down to earth. I'll settle for that and the W, thank you.

Just great to have George Blaney on the bench. Players play for him, he doesn't yank them for misdeeds instantly. 800 wins can't be denied, however. Hope the team continues its sharp play. Go Huskies.
