Lakers' Gasol left frustrated over injury

Pau Gasol's frustration is obvious. He simply can't answer the one question that's on everyone's mind.

Whichever way you want to "spin" it we get the jist that you hate the lakers.Gasol will be fine and the Lakers are still the team to "beat" for the title. I would not mind a Laker/Celtic finals, but only if guaranteed that the lakers win.

And for any Laker/Kobe hater out there, I find it funny that you can hate Kobe for being arrogant and whiny (which he can be) but then root for the ultimate ghetto thug Kevin Garnett, who as a wonderful role model is mouthing something with moetherf*ck in it EVERY time they show a close up of the idiot! So...heh heh, and let me not forget the rottenist player in the NBA, Ras(weed) Wallace. What a piece of (crap) work this jerk is. Only Ray Allen has some class on the Celtics. Never thought I'd say Danny Ainge is one of the least whiny guys involved with the team right now...

Garnett is the ultimate competitor thats why he curses, because its a way of him displaying his emotion and passion for the game, sorry he can't just wink or smile everytime he's on the floor competing, this is a mans sport, if the cursing bothers you, why don't u sit behind a big screen and watch golf...where the announcers whisper and the crowds aren't allowed to whistle. BTW how is Rasheed the 'rottenist' player in the NBA? he has never had any off the court issues and was NEVER accused of sexual assault like a couple of players on that Lakers squad.

Not defending Kobe in any way because he is the whiny one on the Lakers but here is my take on rotten Celtic players:

Anyone can be called an "ultimate competitor" but I don't see 99% of them cursing the way Garnett does. For a league that already has problems with its "thug" image and "me" attitudes, A high-profiled player like Garnett sure doesn't help this image by his "bad ass", always angry attitude! Compare him to Superman Dwight Howard. Howard is another "ultimate competitor", gets the job done, and has a smile on his face like he enjoys the game...hell like he enjoys other human beings... Can't say that for Garnett. The sponsors are doing their best to make the KG reputable but the thug keeps shining thru.

Secondly, Rash(weed) Wallace? Continuously leads the league in technical fouls each year... remember? Also I guess youv'e swept all the "off" court issues under some rug of yours from his Portland "jailblazer" days and he and Stoudemire getting busted for pot, or that he likes to actually get high before games. Maybe you weren't even familiar with that back then, you were watching Golf or something else yourself! Wallace is one whiny piece of sh*t and has been quoted saying racial slurs too! Another angry thug! Made headlines when the Pistons won the Title and he publicy said he was going to refuse to shake the President's (Bush) hand! Such bush league. what does KG talkin about past players justify? i guess since the Lakers lost from the year before against the Celtics u forgot about that sit down KG had with Bill Russell and what they talked about...i guess if i was a Lakers fan too that year i'd deliberately have amnesia as well

I knew this would eventually happen, in the Lakers off-season Gasol was playing with his National Team full-time, which it seems they won the world championship. But at what cost...?
Every NBA player needs a big break after the basketball season, and Gasol did not take one.
Lakers knew he was playing on his National Team but did not intervene. It's the Lakers organizations fault for not letting him rest, and heal his wounds, in the off season. Now the Lakers team will suffer without Gasol.

Yes agreed! But until something is written into the player's contract, you can't always tell him what steps he is allowed to take or not. Kind of kind ben Rothlisburger a few years back in that accident he was in while riding a motorcycle. If I am a sports organization, I sure as hell ain't gonna let my frnachise player ride a friggin motorcycle while I am paying him.

Some of these athletes must realize that even though their intentions are good and/or innocent, they are paid fantastic money by someone. those salairies cover the person for the entire year and beyond, so in my opinion, the athlete is on the clock year round and needs to adhere to the team's wishes!

I just hope Gasol heals quickly cuz he is ready a terrific basketball player and equally wonderful guy!

Why don't they put gasol on the injury list.This would give the lakers fan some relief on when he will return.I know my sleep would be better.
