Why do all you people like Sweet Lou so much? Lou felt the pressure, completely overthought the situation and tightened up. You can't win the 4th game in a 5 game series until you win the 1st. Actually, he's been tight all year. Remember the big clubhouse meeting in May when there supposedly was dissention in the ranks because of Lou not communicating with his squad? And how many different starting lineups and batting orders did he create this season??? Well over 100, I am sure. And what about The Dumpster? Will someone please tell me why Lou kept bringing him in as the closer? Frankly, my Aunt Molly could have managed this team to eight games over .500.

The Cubs need much more than filling a few holes. If this team can't figure out how to Gator Up, how to win when the pressure is on, they're looking at another 100 years.

I remember a young outfielder for the Cubs that struggled early in his career. His first 1200+ at bats he hit only .257 with 261 strikeouts and only 80 walks while only hitting 20 dingers. His name of course was Lou Brock. Traded to the Cardinals in 1964. The rest is history.

Pie has had only 177 at bats is hitting a measely .215 with 43 strikeouts and 14 walks while hitting 2 homers. To jump to the conclusion that Pie can't hit is as dumb as trading Lou Brock to the Cardinals.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Capricorn

A certain person is strong-willed with the Full Moon in your emotional house of others. It's a lunar eclipse too, so this could lead to some ructions in which everyone becomes firmly entrenched in their own opinions and refuses to acknowledge anyone else's point of view. Get the arguments out of the way early on, so you can then concentrate on having a really enjoyable New Year's Eve.
