Say good-bye to Prior, Wood, Ward, Kendall, Floyd, Blanco, Monroe and Traschel.

Trade Jones, Marquis, Ohman, Erye, Dempster, Cedeno, Murton and Wurtz.

Sign A-Rod and I-Rod.

2008 will tell all on Hill, Marshall and Guzman.

Critical year for both Lee and Ramirez.

Two words for Lou......Slim Fast.

Soto can be one of the best, if I-Rod is his mentor.

Slow start in 2008 will mean no one will be untouchable.

Mr. Hendry, the Cubs need a strong bench. Fontenot is not the answer as your #1 pinch hitter.

How to win a championship?.....Invest in the Scouting.

How to win a championship.....Have better coaches in the Minor leagues.

MLB is not where players learn the fundamentals of the game.

I'll take a guy who has a better percentage on the RISP category than a guy who hits 30 HR's and drive in 100 RBI's

Every player should hustle on every play. No excuses.

I think a three year Sabatical of Inter-league play should be made.

100 years of not having a World Series. What a joke!

The club that showed up for the playoffs was far from being the same team the Cubs fielded in the second half of the season. Alas, some clubs just never are able to handle the flash of the playoffs -- where some teams get better and really shine at playoff time, and others wilt and die to quickly to be removed from the scene. The latter seems to be the Cubs fate, as it has continued unabated for lo these many years! I am a Cubs fan, but again, broken and disappointed. I have been considering the "playoff management team" focus. Did we get shanked by the
manager in the playoffs? I don't think so. Lou has brought great life to this team, and a sense of accomplishment throughout the season. I cannot believe his one questioned call on removing a valuable pitcher slew this team. In final analysis, I have to say the team let their ownselves down in a big way, Why? Who knows. But the playoffs dropped them dead. Will we see a resurrection next season? I think so. And a better, more mature Cubs team of players, who have learned some bitter, hard lessons this season. Nevertheless, GO CUBS!

Next time the Cubs make it to the playoffs (2013 or so is my estimate) I suggest the following changes be made:

1. No flag draping or bunting should be put up at Wrigley.

2. No blimps, no extra post-season hoopla or crap.

3. Day Games only (game time 1:20PM)

4. Remove Aisle 4 Row 8, Seat 113.

5. No ESPN post-game interviews

6. Hire a Harry Caray impersonator to do play-by-play and sing the damned song.

7. Try to make the game look like any other old game played around August 5.

You must be an idiot! Murton is the worst OF in the league, he cannot come in on a ball to save his life and he has no range to go back on a ball or cover large OF's and has a horrible arm...he needs to be traded or released. I am sick and tired of hearing people say Murton should be in the Cubs plans, this is one person who HAS to go in the off-season...get Adam Dunn, Griffey, any one else, but do not EVER keep Murton

Although the Cubs' defense is strong in the key "up the middle" positions (catcher, SS, 2B, CF), I'd like to see more offensive power and electricity. Soto looks like he could hit for power. Jones had a decent year (especially with his fantastic second half), but only had 5 HR. Hopefully next year, he'll return to HR form. Andruw Jones will be available. A-Rod might be available, and he'd love to return to SS.
For pitching, the Cubs need at least one more good starter. Big Z was the Cubs'#3 starter in 2003, and he's is not really that much better now than then, and yet he's now the #1 starter.

I think the Cubs need to get off to a fast start in 2008.
They have to hit for more power and give up less homeruns in 2008.
The Cubs need a solid 5th starter one who can win at least 15 games.
We need Jaque Jones to hit at least 25 homeruns.
Gevony Soto has shown potential in 2007.
He the abilty to be a very good catcher.
The Cubs hitters must walk more and have a obp of at leasr 345.
We have to decide who will be the regular right fielder in 2008.
Lou PIniella is a proven winner .
He will make every effort to make the Cubs better in 2008.
Our bullpen is strong bring back Kerry Wood.
He pitched well again.
Dempster era was to high but he did the job as the closer.
Carlos Marmol had a fantastic season as setup man.
Overall Iam optimistic for 2008!
Go CUbs!
We can do it!
