Reds and Tribe ownership will need to sell to deeper pockets before those clubs will EVER consider 'buying' players before the trade deadline. I mean, come on Mike, when was the last time EITHER of those clubs brought in blue chip talent mid season? In contrast (especially in cleveland) how often have they 'sold' off all stars mid season?

If the Indians start selling players instead of bringing in a hitter and a pitcher, I'm going to loose my fripping mind. I root for the Reds too except when playing the Injuns in Interleague. Tired of the mid season fire sale of the star talent. It's sickening! ARG!!! Like missing a two foot putt for par. Just awful....

Now is the time for Larry Dolan to step up and prove he is in it to win it, rather than auditioning for the ownership role in Major League III.

I disagree that the Reds should be buyers. They are not quite ready to be a serious playoff factor plus they need to position themselves to lock up Joey Votto into a deal that will keep him a Reds for a long time. They need to deal Ramon Hernandez, Francisco Cordero, Fred Lewis, and Jonny Gomes (if possible). Call up Devin Mesoraco, Yonder Alonso, and Dave Sappelt.

As much as I would love to see Chapman in the rotation, he is still lacking a third pitch. Let him learn that in the bullpen.

As for the Indians, Larry Dolan will never okay the bucks to be a buyer. The Indians starting pitching is excellent but I continue to be surprised by their winning ways. There are some serious holes in the Indians offense.
