Why does the Star Bulletin allow people with these childish, uneducated and silly unhelpful view points to write for them?
To justify continuing eating one of the most unhealthy trash-foods made today by any corporaton.. and rather than look at the health implications for Hawaiians who eat spam... Charles makes jokes about animal cruelty? Talk about someone missing the point..
A. Unhealthy, look at the recent article listing Hawaii as having the most unhealthy (overweight) people as well as the most healthy (non-hawaiians who know better than to eat spam).
B. Look at the ingredients of SPAM and then the collective weight of the Hawaiian population. Dont be fooled by being told that Hawaiians are 'just big'.
Please be smarter than this.
C. Wouldn't we want to Promote Hawaiian longevity by improving the health of the hawaiian community. Reduce your obese weight, live longer.
D. They does mistreat the animals. By doing nothing, you agree with treating animals this way. Is this the message you want to send to the world about being Hawaiian?
"We don't mind animals being mistreated as long as we can eat this crap that makes us fat and die early?
Unokea? Uanidiot.

I agree with you. Look at all the fat, obese, out-of-shape people we have in Hawaii (including kids). They look like the walking dead - fat, lethargic, can't even move. They can't even ascend a flight of stairs without looking like they're going to pass out or have a heart attack.

Spam, luncheon meat, vienna sausage - dog food. Combine those things with white rice, instant saimin, and Hawaiian Sun juice, and you got a typical "Local-Style" diet. It's no surprise we have so many people with diabetes in Hawaii.

People in Hawaii can't change. In fact, they don't wanna change. As the saying goes, "Ainokea: I do what I like." Das fine with me. Just no cry when you find yourself in one hospital bed having just gotten your leg chopped off because of diabetes.

Great story. I hope you will dig a little further into the PETA gang you get millions in donations every year from unwitting pet owsers believing their money is actually going to help animals. Try reading www.petakillsanimals.com and http://www.consumerfreedom.com/ if you want to know the truth about this so called animal saviours. They are a joke

I agree, lighten up! I'm sure that Spam isn't the only thing that they eat in Hawaii. Maybe all those coconuts and sugar cane might be part of the problem.
PETA has everyone taking things much to seriously. I hope someday people will see them for the strange and dangerous organization that they are.

I totally agree, people dont realise how sneeky and low Peta is. Guliable people send them donations and dont realise Peta uses those funds to try to take away our right to "own" pets. Along with HSUS and ASPCA to stop people from owning any pets or having eggs and bacon for breakfast. We need to wise up about these organizations before its to late. Animals are property, but It is not right to abuse them. We as their "owners" have a responsibilty to take care of them.

Very funny! Thanks for the laugh. I wish more people would get on the porkbacks of PETA and expose the pale underporkbelly of their pigs feet (er, cloven hooves).
