Do you really think that being loyal to a terrible makes you great fans? All fans teams have loyal fans and would never root for another team, no matter how bad their team is. Luckily most all other teams do not have to wake up each morning and realize that they are a cub fan. 1908 It must be agony waking up each morning realizing you live on the south side.

Bob wrote: Anyone who thinks the Cub are going to make the playoffs are nuts. Lou has lost it, he just sits in the dugout and does nothing... Back up the truck and start with Jim and Lou and Soriano. See you next year. Remember "Sweet Lou's" first week or two with the Cubs, when it seemed like he might quit less than a month into the season? He can't handle adversity, even with a team that still should win the division.

aight...
the one thing i miss about last year was knowing even bein down three runs, that we would win.
i miss the turnstile effect that we would have when we led the league in big run scoring innings last year when it seemed like we had hit after hit after hit followed by a big hit.
i swear every home run we have hit this year has been a solo shot...
we lead off three of the first four innings with a double...NONE OF THEM SCORED
another great outing by a starter wasted...god if only we had ARAM

Well, this is shades 2004 when we all thought coming off the stunning loss to Florida the Cubs would retake the Division and make another run.
Instead the team looked good for awhile, then folded. Prior was never the same after the game 6, 7th inning meltdown.
This season is Dempster who is in post-season form already, a bullpen that has got to rank near the bottom of the league, and just horrible, horrible defense.
Sadly Lou cares nothing for pitching and defense. All he wants is runs, runs, runs and this team is one set of rally stoppers.
When you look at guys on other teams who have low averages but large RBI totals, that a clutch hitter. What the Cubs have is guys with decent averages but low RBI totals.
Lots of hits with no one on base. This team sure nows how to get guys over to third and then not get them in.
This years team has some "great" Chemistry, sadly it's the bad kind where they find different ways with different guys to lose games.

If the Cubs are going anywhere this year, they are going to have to make a move period, onwership in flux or not.

You have no leadership, your manager is afraid of Soriano, the defense is terrible, and no one knows how to bunt. That all equals a terrible team, which this one is. And you can't trade because not a team wants anyone this cub team has, and there is no money to take on salary. So, here is your team. And for some reason, Soriano keeps starting every day and batting leadoff...UGH.

Cubs would be a 4th-place team in Japan, where all the players are slanty-eyed sissies like Gookadummy.
