Let's see: he got moved to a team that keeps flubbing its chance at a World Series to the team that actually WON the World Series. He got a ring out of the deal, so what the hell does he have to be bitter about? That's like being bitter because you got dumped by Britney Spears but then immediately started schtupping Jessica Alba.

Thank God and Greyhound he's gone. Those 33 consecutive appearances without giving up a run was due to pitching 1/3 of an inning at a time. Line drives were hit off of him everywhere. As ineffective as they come, he's worse than Frank DiPino. The Cubs won't miss him.

He's a millionaire, so why be bitter?

Five reasons I can't get excited about the Cubs this year:

1) Bullpen is a disaster (thanks to departures of Eyre, Wood, Wuertz)

2) We essentially traded DeRosa for Aaron Miles. Not good.

3) Soriano in leadoff is indefensible if one looks at stats for 5 minutes

4) Lee is bad now but will get to play every day regardless while Hoffpower (spelled deliberately) sits

5) Injury potential in starring rotation is extremely high

I'd like to be traded from scrubs to World Series champs too.

1. He certainly WAS in Lou's doghouse, but it was never personal.

2. He left and got a ring in Philly.

3. He'd never have won with the century-old losers.

He's a success.

The Cubs aren't bitter that he stunk up Wrigley Field for so long before they finally unloaded him. 7.17 ERA, and he couldn't figure out why Lou didn't pitch him? I'm glad he did well for the Phils. Too bad he couldn't motivate himself to do it in Chicago.

CubFanBudMan: I hate to be as pessimistic as you seem to be, but appearances suggest I must. They will miss Wood and especially DeRosa more than they know right now. The stubborness about batting Soriano lead-off is beyond understanding. And if you don't think the new power-htting outfielder isn't going to explode before the season ends you are mistaken. (I dont use his name. It might piss him off. Most anything does.)

Cubs fans should be bitter because he
helped Derek Lee destroy his wrist
and he's never been the same since

Sox fan here by the way

Face it folks, Pinella is overrated and outdated.

Eyre obviously had it last year, Pinella just can't manage pitching very well and can't keep it loose in Oct.

We have collapsed in all facets in the postseason under Pinella.

Sure they choked under Dusty but at least one some games and had a chance.

If this is the year it will be in spite of Lou and not because of him.

Eyre seems like a likable guy, so i'm glad to see things work out for him. I dont think Pinella likes easy going, non confrontational type players, and it was pretty obvious Pinella didn't think too much of Eyre.

why would you feel bitter about going to any team after playing on the northside?

Good luck to all the ex-Cubs out there, you got out of town in the nick of time. The ones left deserve to be here for the brunt of whats about to happen. The Sox and Cubs will play each other some time this season and I predict they will both be under .500 when they do. I blame Jim Hendry and Lou Pinella mostly and mostly I blame Lou and Jim.

You are more Bud man and less Cub fan. You have no idea what you are talking about.
