He better stay w/ the METS FOR LIFE!!!! The front office better NOT trade him!!!! Tony Gwynn & Cal Ripken Jr. are a rare breed aka players that stayed with one organization their whole careers!!!! I can still remember when the Mets traded Tom Seaver in 1977 and it took many years for the team to recover & M. Donald Grant was a pariah in New York until 1980 when the Wilpons & Nelson Doubleday bought the team but now the Wilpons look like the pariahs unless they have to SELL THE METS 100%!!!! David Wright in a uniform other than the Mets? NOT HAPPENING!!!!! Last year, some wiseass Yankee fan suggested that David will wind up in the Bronx!!!! AND I TOLD THAT PERSON HE SHOULD GET ASS RAPED FOR EVEN SUGGESTING THAT AT ALL!!!!

I'm hoping David Wright is a Met for life too but come on, the last statement in your post is a bit excessive. Don't you think?

Yeah, that is definitely a bit too much.

In the age of free agency you just don't know. There really doesn;t seem to be loyalty anymore, Other than the loyalty to the geen paper, Lee being an exception wanting to play for a chance to win a title. I sincerly hope he spends his career here but who knows. All free agents say the right thing "Of course I want to stay where I am" (If they offer the most money)

Finally some good news .........

Expect an announcement very soon that Alderson has signed Mo Vaughn to a 2-year deal to be the Mets pinch running specialist.

Minaya was never able to pull off the deal.

Wright is an average 3rd baseman on a losing team. Just hope he doesn't throw a hissy fit when Reyes leaves.
