Why did we go to the well for another year by getting rid of our closer? Do we really think we can resurrect a closer each year? We blew it this time!

PATHETIC AGAIN. Now they're losing to minor league teams. Jeffrey Schoria and his freak stepson are a joke.

At what point do the Marlins just throw in the towel on Julio? The minute I saw his sorry ass warming up, I knew we would lose. Disgusting.

This team is done. It is losing far too many games like this. To lose a series to the Nationals is disgraceful. These walks are getting out of hand. There are three things that can happen when you throw strikes: You get a strike call, you get a field out or the batter gets a hit. Two of these are good for the pitcher. I like the odds.

I think we finally can say we need a new manager. Maybe Fredi Gonzalez forgot that spring training ended 6 weeks ago and you do not try to get a pitcher right with the bases loaded in a tie game in the 9th inning. Julio will never be right, he does not belong in the majors and this team is becoming unwatchable because of these late inning meltdowns. Also, why can't a reliever throw more than one inning if he had a good inning. Lindstrom threw about 10 pitches to get 3 outs in the 6th and then he is gone. This manager really sucks!!!!

Reggie is a poor outfielder who can't hit a lick. He's not a major leaguer. Uggla is striking out far too much to keep hitting out of the 2 hole. He needs to be moved in the batting order until he recovers his stroke. Beinfest stuck Fredi with Julio and paid a lot (in Marlin terms) for him. He's going to keep throwing him out there.

Hey, Julio stinks BUT(BIG BUT!!!!!!!)--Joe Borchard, Reggie Abercrombie, Matt Treanor, Jason Wood, and Randy Messenger WOULD NOT be on the Major League roster of any other team. That is a whopping 24 Percent of your team that doesn't belong there. We also employ a utility infielder as our BEST???? center fielder. We have an injury prone--alleged "great prospect" right fielder who the ENTIRE ORGANIZATION has soured on--You know this is true Craig, SO Why Don't You Print It!!1 We have a farm system bereft of positional prospects with the exception of two guys who MIGHT make it and one of them is now older than his brother who has been starring for Braves for 2 years.
We flail and continue to strike out at record numbers, score great proportion of runs in a few games, DESPERATELY MISS--How can you desperately miss--Cody Ross?? Can't rest our catcher because our backup can't play and is best known for athletic prowess of his wife.

I believe on Friday our 4 minor league affiliates scored ONE RUN!!!! COMBINED. Keep hearing aboutour pitching prospects--but you know what pitching is what it is all about BUT(Another Big But) at some point a few of these guys must be parlayed into a Right Fielder, Center Fielder, First Baseman--Who Doesn't Get Constantly Dinged--, a major league caliber backup catcher and a closer-----BUT Nobody Cares Anyhow, and I know this because the writers don't even care as evidenced by them not relating the team's DISAPPOINTMENT(to put it real mildly) about Hermida. If this was Boston, New York, Detroit, Chicago, St Louis or almost any other city with a Major League team, there would be a great deal of commentary about a guy that has been out since March because of a bruised kneecap--A BRUISED KNEECAP!!!! Now, Carl Pavano missed a year because of a sore buttocks, but he got ripped for it. Is a BRUISED KNEECAP worth at least some words.

Craig, I have sources on this. If you want to write something about it put a note in this forum and I will call or e-mail you with a guy in Marlins organization who has told me about club's feelings for Hermida and you can verify. If you have no interest, well that is MLB in S. Florida.

You ain't kidding, JoJo. I'll bet most of these people don't bother to watch or comment about Marlins games other than showing up here to whine when they lose. One-fifth of the way into the season and we're "done"? Yeah, okay. Bunch of drama queens.

However, I think it's pretty obvious that Julio's got problems that can't be fixed at this level. If his confidence was bad before, it's utterly shot now. He may have good stuff, and they may hate to admit the trade was a failure, but he's just an absolute disaster. I can only imagine the boost in optimism he gives the other dugout when he enters the game.

Did anybody else have a problem watching the game last night on Sunshine? I turned it on in the 8th inning and while you could hear the announcers describing the game, all you could see was a school picture of a young boy with the Marlins rain delay emblem on the upper right corner. Very strange......

This is my 27 comment on Julio and Abercrombie since spring training. Julio lost his location as a closer two years ago. Abercrombie, I don't understand why they keep bringing him up. He can't hit a 40-mph softball or a beachball for sake. My dog can catch more than him. As for the rest, where or who is the hitting coach? It seems that the Marlins are the only team with 8 to 12 strikeouts per game. Spend some money before it's too late. Remember that if we stop going to the games, we won't have a park or a team in Dade County. Last night was the last stick on the camel's back.

fredi is not a manager.anyone who puts julio in after battling like the marlins did does not have a winning attitude.fredi and julio should be sent down, permanately. a nightmare, again, thanks, fredi.

Dear JoJo, Go Fish, and Sam AKA Morons, Do you know why baseball doesn't make it in S. Florida?? Because nobody cares enough to even understand or care about what I just wrote. And Yea!1, the Marlins are done for This Year because the Braves and Mets will win division and Wild Card because they are not being edged out by a team with no center fielder, no right fielder, a hobbled first baseman--for 2 years now--no BENCH, no closer and no positional prospects.

So you guys call yourself FANaticS--you know those blindly loyal people who we despise because they check brains at the front door and believe they will be greeted by virgins upon death--and sound like you are happy to ignore this roster that the combined minds of greatest managers in history couldn't make work. You know why you ignore the facts--Because You are Fans--Good Luck With The Virgins in Paradise. I will really care about this team and get angry when a product like this is put on field.

By the way, I make 140 mile trip to Atlanta for every Marlins series and also take 3 other road trips every year and actually go to check out Southern League team couple of times a year. BUT!!--that is nolt good enough for you clowns BECAUSE You Are FANaticS!!!

Face it, the Fish are an average, win 1, lose 1 team. that's why they have no fan base.

Send out a search party for Hermida, put his face on posters throughout Florida, have TV stations show his picture--won't be able to find any of him actually playing---put out pleas for his return.

This guy actually attended school with Jeff Franceour--You Know The Real major League Right Fielder--and was thought to be the much better prospect, but when a BRUISED KNEECAP knocks you off the face of the Earth, it might be time to take up a less demanding sport--like poker or gin rummy.

Jeremy, If you are out there, look for us at next Marlins series in Atlanta, if you are still not playing we(6 of us) are going to have banners in right field like milk cartons trying to get your return.

Gonzales looks like a deer caught in the headlights. He lets the players make stupid plays with out reprocution. If it was Gerardi they would get chewed out and then showed the right way. Beinfast has found a pansy. Obey orders little Fredie.

As soon as Fredi brought in Julio it was time to shut your radio or TV off. I think Fredi is being taunted by Beinfast to bring in Julio since he pitched well in 4 non challenging innings. What is the Marlin relievers who have done well to think when Fredi brings in Julio after 6 or7 disastrous outings and 2 good ones.Because you pay him alot does that mean you have to play him . Gardner who bailed out Julio's ass 2 times gets sent down and brought back Admit beinfast scresed nup bringing in Julio and keep him in the minors.

lou i like your cut man. say the truth.

marlins ball is one of hit , run, bunt, mov eht eguy up for the hitters. when they stop reaching for th efences they play a better more interesting game of ball.and i thought fred was keeping julie for some mid relief innings. fred does nothing but demoralize the team when he acts like a manager rather than be a manager
