Heady play, but it can't save day for Marlins

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

It was the last play in his first loss as a major league manager, but Fredi Gonzalez still considered it among the finest examples of heads-up baseball he has witnessed.

Damn, this one hurts. I know all teams lose games. It's just hard to swallow when you have a five run lead and 2 outs in the 7th.

Must bounce back with a good showing with the Phillies. Go Marlins!

I watched the game and was impressed that Josh had his head on like that. If on the last play of the game our guys keep their head in the game like that, we'll win alot. No way do I wanna see that Julio come up with the game on the line though, he stinks.

Having Julio as a closer is a great motivation for the real players to never leave the 8th in a save situation. Don't create a situation where a closer is needed.
Let's develop someone like Tankersley to be closer.
