His family and friends can cheer for his success. I have no problem with that. But to switch from being Sox fans to Cub fans? That violates the basic laws of nature.

Look, Mark Buehrle has remained a Cardinals fan even though he pitches diligently for the White Sox. This guy with the long Hunky name, his family and his pals should be required to remain White Sox fans. What's he gonna do if he's traded to the Pirates or the Royals tomorrow? Become big fans of those dippy outfits?

He has to say that. Can you imagine the first time the kid has a tough outing against the Sox? Or anyone? Cub fans would be saying that he was blowing it on purpose cuz he's a Sox fan. He's still a Sox fan. He's just not saying it outloud.

These guys are professional baseball players. They support the organization currently paying them. There's nothing wrong with that.

Well we all do things when we are young that are foolish and we regret later. At least this pitcher, who needs a nickname, has shown the good sense to support the real baseball team in town. Fads and pretenders are fine when you are young but once you reach adult hood it is good to put away childish things and behave like a grownup.

Oh, that goat in florida, I don't think it was for the cubs, since that florida team has so few fans they rent out their outfield seats to farm animals that the locals don't have room for at home. It is meant to increase attendance, goats chickens, ferrets are all welcome. They had to draw the line at reptiles, not enough room.

I was at the game and they did bring out a goat. The Marlins are pretty much jerks with their promotions and it pissed me off as well. To bad it didn't fire up the Cubs more!

It's just all fun and games.

Hey, they wanted to "get your goat"...and apparently they did.

Lighten up. The baseball legends are part of the circus.

I agree. Another one is Jim Thome, a Cubs fan belting them out for the White Sox now.

I was at that game on Friday night, and I understand why the Marlins don,t have fans. They have no class, maybe they thought their fans would think it's funny bringing out a goat, or burning a Cubs shirt. But there wasn't any Marlin fans around to find any humor in that classless act. Do they do that to other visiting team?

Well, well, high and mighty. That's right, real baseball teams blame a fan for costing them WS when they didn't even play 1 game in one. For shame!

He probably is saying it to avoid trouble with snotty and obnoxious Cu fans, of which there sure are many.

Too bad he's so gutless, but I can sort of understand.

Daily Horoscope for December 8

Pisces

You're capable of making some very constructive and important decisions today, particularly where your relations with certain people are concerned. If you're fed up with the way someone has been treating you, you might now decide that the worm is about to turn and you're going to be much firmer about what you're prepared to put up with and what you won't tolerate.
