Pujlos said it all "GIVE THE GUY A BREAK" and leave him alone!!!.
Players seem to be guilty until proven innocent? Respect the man and his Love of the game of baseball. I sincerely hope Barry Bonds breaks Babe Ruth's record, and Hank Arron's record. And believe me I will never watch another Houston Astro's game again. Thank you Barry its's been my pleasure and good fortune to have watched you play the greatest game of all Baseball. A FAN, Jay Hart |

From 1999 to 2005, Bonds homered in 1 out of every 8 at-bats. By coincidence, he also has been proven to have taken steroids during that time. How the heck can you hold this guy up on a pedastal when he's lied to you and every fan of baseball about illegal drug use to enhance his performance? Had he not directly absorbed all those steroids, and obviously changed his body type form when he first entered the major leagues, I firmly believe he would not be near this record.
I can't respect a man who HAS BEEN PROVEN GUILTY and still tries to "skate" around his lie by changing his statement from "I never took steroids" to "I never knowingly took performance enhancing drugs". Gimme a break! If it's been your pleasure and good fortune to watch Barry Bonds play baseball, then you must enjoy watching any other game when you know players are cheating and lieing about it, then getting paid millions of dollars for it. That's ludicrous and completely unfair to the hundreds of other professional baseball players who are playing by the rules and losing out to cheaters like Bonds, McGuire, Conseco, etc. Joe A real fan of the game |

I was able to view not only the game when Russ Springer hit Barry Bonds but the game before between the Astros and the Giants. Barry had been pitched in the outside of the plate up to that point and he was having good success making contact with the ball. As Phil Garnder explained in an interview, Russ Springer's strategy was to feed Barry all inside pitches. Springer was not at his sharpest and was out of control when he threw the first ball behind Barry when he got the first warning - it was a sinker which hit the ground. If a pithcer plans to hit a batter, he does not throw a sinker, first of all, and secondly does not take 4 or 5 pitches to hit his target.

There is no doubt he was trying to hit him....and sometimes that happens when the pitcher is nervous about getting his ass whooped. |
