Then again, maybe Pujols was out

Full story: www.bugsandcranks.com

Many thanks to Cardinals fan Chris Russell, who reminded us after the Brewers 12-inning 9-8 victory over St. Louis today that there's no tradition in baseball as hallowed as blaming the ump. Here’s the rub. Albert Pujols was called out at home plate in the 3rd inning, and he was clearly safe. Multiple replays showed Albert scoring on a Troy Glaus single, definitively sliding his leg across the plate to beat the tag. Chad Fairchild, the HP umpire, had the best possible view and still found a way to blow it. Maybe he’s on a power trip and he wants the satisfaction of burning the great Albert Pujols. Maybe he’s a Cubs fan. Or maybe he’s just an idiot. Regardless, that run cost the Cards the game. Mr. Fairchild… Cardinals fans hate you."

Fairchild is HP umpire for a reason. If Pujols thought he was safe maybe he would have argued the call, but he walked walked away cuz he knew he was out. He's the best hitter in the NL, and he knew he was out. He should have been sliding into home if he wanted it to be close. GO BREWERS!!!

There's a shocker...A Brewer's fan trying to hold up the call. They showed the replay about twenty times; get your glasses checked.

Pujols was safe. That was easy to see on the replay. Cards fans know Albert pretty good though, that the man rarely argues about anything. He's too busy being a great player.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Virgo

Words are flying around in all directions today, and the conversations will be fast and furious. You might face a lot of distractions and interruptions, or you could get caught up in some rather irritable slanging matches with a certain person. The busier you are, the more fraught you'll become and the more likely to go off the deep end.
