"Maroth quickly introduced himself to catcher Gary Bennett -- gesturing what each of his first eight warmup pitches would be -- and then shut down the Mets on two hits for 7 1-3 innings. Throwing barely over 80 mph, he got Jose Reyes and others to take several awkward swings."
So what else is new - The Mets have been rolling over to practically ever rookie pitcher they've faced over that last couple of years.... |

although the bats were pretty quiet tonight, the pitching was terrific. right now, in their past 4 games they average for 1 run per game!

Another wild win!
Lately the Met's starting pitching and bullpen have been superb. The defense has been sharp. The hitting has been slowly coming along, but it's there when the game is on the line. Let's finish out June on a strong note! |
